Starting a home business or internet business?

Hi i am 15 and want my own business at home or online can anyone help me?

Glad that you have a business mindset at a young age. I really wish I had started an internet business young and been taught to do so. Lots of really successful entrepreneurs have said that they had business success mindset drummed into them for a very early age. It is an essential part of gaining success.

Starting a successful home-based online business means being very honest with yourself and being willing to invest your time and efforts into your quest. First, you need to come out with a money making idea for your internet business. You need this if you are serious about making money online. Your site concept or topic for your site must be something that is high in demand but not too broad or competitive.

You can start up a website on the topic of 'how to play chess'. But if no one searches for the keyword chess through the Search Engines, your business will not be profitable. You just do not have enough visitors. Remember 'your website traffic begets money'. The more visitors you have to your site, the more income you can generate. Similarly, it mustn't be too broad. Otherwise, you will need to spend a lot of time and resources competing with more established sites on that keyword.

You could perhaps sell Mark Cosmetics. They are an Avon owned compoany but geared towards teens. You can sell it at school and on the web , also host parties - but you should check it out yourself, the link is below. If you have to be 18, then just ask your parents to sign up on your behalf and you take care of the business yourself.

Another thing to think about is what you like, what your interests are. Say if you are a dancer, then perhaps doing an after school "program" that centers on dance would be something you could look into. (If you have the space)

all i can say is that i am 24 and have had my own internet business for over a year and have only had one sale, it takes loads and loads of time, effort, money and advertising and even then you could still fail, also my products i am selling must be good as they sell for loads on ebay and cannot be found in any high street shop but people just dont seem to bother going to on line shops anymore
