Lately there have been all these special sales at the stores. Some opening at midnight,with people waiting on line for hours. If it is advertised that there is a sale from 6am until 8am up until what time do they still give you the sale price, is it 5 minutes 1 hour or what? |

I think they would be within their rights to refuse to honor the price...But a good system would have somebody that cuts off the line by some mechanism so that everybody that's in line already gets the sale price. |

Having worked in retail a lot, I would say if you're in LINE by 8 AM you're probably okay. Legally I don't think you have a leg to stand on if they do deny you at 8:06. However, in the interest of good customer service, the customer is always right, and all that jazz most stores would probably give it to you. i mean if they don't you're just going to throw down all of your merchandise and then they won't get any of your money, right? |

Usually big corporations have it set in their computer system when the sale ends, so the clerk can't override it. Longest leeway in a system I've seen is 5 minutes. |

The sale dead line can very. If your in line before the end of the sale--ask(not proclam in a fit of rage to the point of throwing objects at the clerk) that you would like to get the sale price since you have been waiting in line before the end of the sale. Ask for management and explain that do to the wait, you would like to purchase the items at the sale price. Most stores may have a greeter at the front door that will honer a copoun past the due time. Best to be nice--I work as a book-keeper for a retail and will bend backwards to help a custormer.

I'd say until eight o'clock exactly, according to the clock which was used when the store was opened.
I worked Black Friday at a Wal-mart for a few years in a row, and we always cut off the sales right at eleven, though if there were long lines and people were in a line at eleven, they'd usually get the sales price. No one who got in line after that would get it.
You've got to cut it somewhere, or there's no point in having the sale be from time A to time B. |

Technically no. If it's a small business, they might make a few exceptions but a big business, no.
