Yeah people do it - briefly - believe me, you do not need money that badly that you want to work for about 50p an hour.

It used to be very poorly paid.
To be honest, I'd be very surprised if you could find anyone offering this kind of work any more because even very small businesses have automatic envelope stuffers (machines, not humans!) on site.
With any kind of home work, if they want to you pay a fee/subscribe/buy a list, you'll probably find it costs you more than you can ever hope to make back.
