Nancy M. | Thinking About Selling Either Avon or Tupperware? |
I am thinking about selling either Avon or Tupperware but can't decide which one. I like both Avon and Tupperware. I have been to many Tupperware parties and I love Tupperware. I also love Avon and use to buy it. What are some good things and bad things about both. |

Hi!
I, honestly, wouldn't say anything negative about either company. I truly believe that whatever business you choose-- and put your efforts into can be successful!
I am a Director with Tupperware and have been for a little over a year. I have been with the company for 4 years and have worked my business at just about every level you can think of. I love Tupperware products... and the fact that we still offer a Lifetime Warranty with no need for a receipt! With today's economy, folks with a serious Tupperware business will start to do even better. Our product becomes needed in a soft economy. People begin preparing meals at home and the demand for our product increases!
So, if you are interested in Tupperware and have more questions, feel free to contact me! I conduct a National Business and have team members in several states. I have monthly meetings and trainings available live via the internet. I also do many conference call trainings!
The Tupperware compensation plan is one of the highest paid Direct Sell companies! I, personally, have earned trips and gifts galore... I was the 86th person in the US/Canada to earn a Pontiac G6 Convertible for FREE from Tupperware! The title to that car is in my name...I own it. A pretty nice perk!
For more information about me and Tupperware, feel free to visit my website at http://www.TWisGreen.com
I wish you Success in whatever you choose!

I have done both. Do you want to spend time and effort plus travel costs to do in home parties? And attend monthly meetings etc.? You will need to if you have a great Tupperware business.
Avon is less cost to start and maintain with less effort once you build a client base.
However, both can be done successfully. The degree of success depends on how much time you spend developing your business.
People do still love and buy Tupperware because of it's high quality, lifetime guarantee, and unusual pieces that cannot be purchased in a general store. Tupperware is booming! |

HI, Just wanted to share my experience with AVON. I sold for almost three years. Any real money to be made with AVON, is in recruiting, and even though its only 10.00 to sign up, only about 1/4 of your recruits will sell enough for you to see any real money. Avon allows you to purchase products up front, and pay within 2 weeks ( Before placing next order) You will encounter people not having the money as promised, and you will recruit reps that will buy a boat load, and walk away, going out bad debt! I left because the AVON phone ordering system was not secure at the time, allowong someone to have access to my account. you might want to check to make sure that has been changed! Even though I am fairly new to Tupperware, I have seen cash in hand, . AVON says you can earn 50%, but alot of the items sold have a ceiling of 20%, and that bits into your overall profit big time. ALSO, AVON has always had huge issues with back ordered items, more so around the holidays, and if you dont have it, they wont pay for it till it arrives, cutting further into weekly profits. I LOVE AVON products, especially the watches, the batteries last forever. But the only way I would sell again, would be on a personal account, just shopping for my self, for the discount! |

Thats great, i have done avon, and made nothing from it! But ive been to a few tupperware parties recently, and that seems to be where the money is. If you host the parties, and get heaps of people under you, you can do well, My mates have just held parties at there houses and the host is always booked up, she even has a company car!!
Also tuppaware is more of a neccessity and avon is more of a luxury, so you would get more sales from tuppaware most likely, especially with fuel going up, and intrest rates, people dont want to spend as much.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do, :) |

Why not go with a company owned by Tupperware that deals with skin care, make up and spa products? Tupperware owns the best out there. The CEO of Tupperware used to be with Avon and moved over. The comany is BeautiControl. Lots of fun, potientially unlimited income and the perks are amazing. Not to mention the support and training they offer for your success. Incredible products! |

I personally don't know a lot about Tupperware. I do know about AVON though. I sell it. It only costs $10 to start with AVON. This gives you a lot of stuff. Samples, brochures, a tote, a motivational dvd, and great other stuff. If you join my downline even if your not in my district I send you a free gift to either sell or use so you can familiarize yourself with the products. You can email me at jessicayouravonrep08@yahoo.com
to join go to my website: www.youravon.com/jcotton
I also have a group.

I'm an Avon rep an would naturally vote Avon.
Did you know that during past economical slowdowns, cosmetics sales actually rose?? This theory-based on info from retailers, analysts and shoppers-is that women regard beauty products as NECESSITIES! Makeup sales actually go up during a slow down, because feeling and looking good inspire stability during uncertain times. Its also an inexpensive way to treat yourself to a little something, pick you up and make you smile. I thought my sales were slowing down in the beginning of the year but I've been doing very well lately. So that is a big plus for Avon.
As far as selling Tupperware, I don't know much about it. I know that while I find it to be a fantastic product, I buy very little of it because of the price. It also is more of a party based type of business. I did other party biz plans and found it very hard to get people to book parties and even harder to get people to attend them.
Avon only cost $10 face to face and $20 to sign up online (see more about that on my profile). You get everything you need to start your business. The only thing you need to sell Avon is the brochures. The more you buy the less they cost. Avon also has a great leadership program which can increase your earnings.
For your first campaign you will earn 50% commission when you place your order online. For your Second, Third, and Fourth campaigns, you will earn 50% commission provided your orders are greater than $50, and you place your orders online. After your first four campaigns, the commission structure is as follows:
Order Size Earnings
$1550 or more 50%
$900 - $1549 45%
$425 - $899 40%
$285 - $424 35%
$145 - $284 30%
$25 - $144 20%
$00 - $24 0%
Licensed products are earned at 20% commission.
I have more Avon info and Faq's on my profile. Feel free to contact me with any other questions you may have.
