Thinking about joining The Pampered Chef..?
Who likes their products and how often do you buy? Is anyone a current consultant?

You'd be better off finding something else. As already indicated - their products are high priced and equal good products can be found for much less.

You could try looking up www.bnfusa.com

It's a wholesale products supplier, to which you can specialize in their kitchen wares if that is your deal.

Here's one of their products:

Chef's Secret¨ 15pc 9-Element Stainless Steel Cookware. This high quality cookware set has been demonstrated on National TV many times. The set features extra heavy gauge surgical stainless steel, a steam control valve to make healthy 'waterless' cooking easy, and 9-element construction to spread the heat quickly and evenly. Set includes 1,7qt covered saucepan, 2.5qt covered saucepan, 3.2qt covered saucepan, 7.5qt covered roaster, skillet, dome cover, covered mixing bowl that also works as a double boiler, steamer rack, deep fry basket and handle. Limited lifetime warranty. 32 lbs each. 42400PT $1,295.00 Item #KT915

Your cost on this is $181.00

I'm in my early 20s and I really like their products. I bought a whole lot of things this past winter. I probably will buy once a year.

If you decide to sell it, here are some ideas I have: The brand has this stigma with some people my age as being for older people. I happened to find out about the brand b/c someone that I worked with (who is older) was a host. So one, find a way to reach 20s group. I think many of my friends would come to like the product if they could see demonstrations. I also think if you could figure out a way to reach engaged people and let them know about the wedding registry program you could do well. Looking back, I would have loved getting my kitchen stuff from P.C., but I didn't know it was an option. So there are some ideas if you decide to go for it.

I have a friend who has been doing it for years and who really likes it; mostly she likes the flexibility, so that she isn't stuck with a 9-5 job. I bought from her once or twice, but I found that I could find any of the products elsewhere cheaper, so I was mostly buying as a way of helping her out.

Hello,
I love all of my pampered chef products. My favorite is the mandoline and I recently became a consultant. I love it and use my business as a hobby! :D

I am also a Director with the Pampered Chef. I have 2 small children (2 yrs & 8 Months) and I want to be home with them so that I can raise them myself. I LOVE the flexibility I have with being a director for the Pampered Chef and I enjoy being in charge of my schedule; I can wor as little or as much as I would like. I make almost as much (if not more) money than most of my friends that work full time but I don't have to send my kids to daycare.
The products are a huge bonus! I have earned over $1,500 in products free this year alone. If you like the products this is an awesome to stock your kitchen and make some money while you're at it. You don't havetobuy a certain amount of product to be a consultant. You can stay active by doing one show every other month if you would like. I personally think the shows are a blast so I usually do 1-2 shows a week.
The Pampered Chef also has a way for you to earn awesome rewards like travel. They will be sending my husband and I for an all expense paid vacation to London next year. I am so excited!
Don't listen to random answers to people who have never had an opportunity to work directly for The Pampered Chef. If you give it a try and it's not for you then you are under no obligation to keep selling. The best way to know is to give it a shot. I too am more than willing to answer any questions you may have, just shoot me an email.
Good Luck!

I've been a consultant since Feb. 2005, and I love it! Have tons of products and I want more! LOL. Let me know if I can help you at all, or answer any more of your questions. Thanks!

I am a current independent consultant and joined in 2/07. I was first introduced to the products in 1994. I have gone through "seasons of life" so to speak with the company and products. For awhile, I was a faithful customer, some years didn't buy, other years hosted, and finally independent consultant. What sells me on the products is the quality. My scrapers in my kitchen are 10-13 years old...and well used! In the meantime, I've gone through tons of cheap ones. I finally threw them all out and got more Pampered Chef (R) scrapers. Many products such as forged cutlery and cookware have a lifetime warranty. Not too many companies either offer that anymore, or make it easy to exchange a few years later when you may not have the receipt handy or purchase date/location. Many say, "You can get it cheaper elsewhere." However, you cannot compare the price/quality to a Walmart. You have to compare it to the higher-end stores then the quality and price is VERY comparable. If I buy kitchen stuff at Walmart, it is often broken in a year or two. If the cost still seems high for you, host a party and earn it at 50% off, 60% off, or FREE (depending on the monthly host specials). The Pampered Chef (R) has one of the best host plans around and does not charge shipping fees on free items - another bonus. After 12 years of owning products, and then studying the company, including visiting there. I am well pleased with the products and service they provide.

As with the rest, I am willing to answer any further questions you may have - just e-mail me!

I am not a consultant(with p/chef) I sell in the health/wellness business--- but I have had two friends do this successfully and I love the batter bowls - and ceramic roasting pans. (and we're in the kitchen business so I can get whatever high end item with a deal) so my two cents are it's good products... fun parties.

Good Luck you will thrive if you love their items and there isn't a rash of consultants around you.

Hi Breasmommy,

I am a director with Pampered Chef, and have been with the company for the last 11 years. Doing so has allowed me to contribute significantly to our household income and also allowed me to stay home and raise our three children. I have never had to put them in daycare!!!

I absolutely love the products. They are high quality and well recieved by everyone I meet. As consultants we have the opportunity to earn as many free products as we want.

Our host program has outstanding benefits like letting host save 60% on the host bonuses six months from their shows date. This along with other host benefits makes everyone want to have a show.

Our home office office supports us with training, online, and with meetings. There are also local once a month training meetings to keep up with the latest promotions ect. Everyone I have met in the company is willing to help you succeed.

I could go on and on about the great benefits about being a consultant. I would be happy to help you get your business started or answer any other questions you may have. I'm new to the yahoo answers so I'm not sure if you can get my info, but if not, just repost and I will get you my e-mail address.

Best wishes,
chefbean

I love the products just as I love longeberger baskets. But how many can a person really buy? You are better off with a product that is consumable and customers need every month. This will drive your business.

I found such a company in 2004 called Reliv International. I had phenomenal health results using their product so I became an Independent Distributor to give others hope. Now I teach and train others who wish to work from home and other customers who want better health. Should you be interested, feel free to contact me at kaw_rdh@yahoo.com for information.

Best of luck!
