There are a few people out here who could give you some ideas, but I don't think they'll be giving too much useful info on this site.

One great thing about the United States is that virtually anybody can go out and start a small business. All it takes is some know how and some hard work. While having a lot of money helps, you can start a business with little or no starting capital.

Step One Calculate how much available capital you'll use to start your small business. The more money you have, the wider your options for the type of small business you can start. Consider getting a business loan at a local bank if you have the credit and the means to pay it back. As always, don't dedicate money to the small business that you can't afford to lose in regards to your household budget.

Step Two Select the type of small business you want to open. The possibilities are virtually endless. If you want ideas or advice, visit Entrepreneur.com. You can also research at your local library to find a small business idea that piques your interest.

Step Three Research the field completely. After you selected the type of small business you want to start, examine that field thoroughly. Find competitors, and see how they conduct their business. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Look for areas that you can improve on and think of unique ways you can market your small business. Business.com is a great resource for business information about start-ups.

Step Four Construct a total plan of action. Write out in detail each step that stands between you and the ultimate goal of having a functioning small business. No detail is too small to list. By making a plan of action, you can go down the list and accomplish each step before moving on. It'll also make the overall task less daunting.

Step Five Decide on what type of business structure you will use and file the appropriate forms. Choose between a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation or LLC. Step Six Get your business license. For certain types of businesses, you must file for a license. The Small Business Administration website can tell you if you need a business license for your chosen type of business. Once you are licensed, you can begin conducting business.

Give yourself plenty of time to start a small business. Rushing into creating a small business is a bad idea and an easy way to lose money.

Avoid get rich quick schemes. If a small business idea sounds too good to be true, investigate it fully and with a skeptical eye before proceeding.

You're looking at this the wrong way. What can you do? What do you like doing? Can you make money from that working from home?

To start any type of business it is YOU that needs to have the idea for it. It isn't as easy as many think.
First you need to come up with a unique or novel idea that will be of interest to potential customers. That said, if there was a good business opportunity in any given field then you can be sure someone has already done it.
Do you have any special skills or can you offer a unique service? If so, then that's the way forward but it will still take time before you see any reward.

The only business I had was friom home. I hired a bus from a bus company and sold the seats on it through small ads in magazines. My bus went to Amsterdam for Cannabis smokers. You could take beer drinkers to Germany or Wine drinkers to France. I drove the bus, but you could hire it with a driver.

There is much more to it, but you could learn as you go along. I did.

Look at the business opportunity.

do what you are good at. Can you sew? watch kids? give massages? make gift baskets? do pottery? Paint? Carve? Do telemarketing?
Figure out what you can do for money and then advertise on Craigslist.

There are a ton of other resources on the site including some free courses that will help you out whether you want to do this the way they suggest or choose to pick up something like affiliate programs with a specific company or MLM systems etc.

It is true that you need to do something you are interested in or you will end up being very bored and frustrated. You can make money at practically anything online as long as you set it up right.

how about selling stuff on ebay? you could set up an online shop and it would cost virtually nothing. Plus youd get world wide buyers.
