Hi! I love your SPIRIT! It's apparent that your boss cares less about the $ than if you were to walk out. What he doesn't know, won't hurt him. If he cared enough, he'd know about the raise. You more than deserve the raise you gave yourself. If the raise is worth having to put up with harassment, then enjoy the raise. Everyone has their price. Just to be on the safe side though, keep any proof of harassment....maybe use one of those little pens that record verbal notes! This way, if he changes his mind or blows a fuse, you have the upper hand! |

well first off you shouldn't have to put up with any kind of harassment at work-its illegal and you could sue him/the company. Next, if he told you that you can have what ever you want, then go for it. You wanted a $5.00 raise, and so you took it. In my opinion, you should tell him that your self worth is more important than his money-then walk out the door. Hun, you should think better about yourself than to put up with this. If you like your job, then tell him that his comments make you uncomfortable. That you want a raise based on your skills, NOT your sexiness. If he doesnt comply, you could always go to his superiors and tell them. You may end up with his job if you do. If he doesnt have superiors, contact the FTC-they can take care of the problem for you. You shoukd probably quit and get a law suit for half a million or something started. Unless it isnt harassment because you already gave him sex for favors in which case it becomes at least morally prostution. Isnt that a real ugly word, thats because its real ugly behaviour. Though Ill have to admit I have had a job so bad I thought about it at least briefly in the mornuings for a career alternative the whole time I worked at lin whoops I meant bed bath and junk. |

You are both wrong. He should be seeing you in court because you should be suing him for sexual harassment, then he will have you arrested for embezzelment and have his day in court.

that shoudn't be the way to get a raise, and if its sexual harrasment then it will continue for as long as you stay there and in the end the pay rise won't make a difference if you're not happy with the situation. It's like you paid yourself for his verbal harressement like you were affirming what he said to you by rewarding yourself, in a way, i think your ethics have been muddled up because of it. I think you should report him and then ask for a pay rise for the emotional and psychological scars! |

Whatever you did is absolutely right, but i think its your time to leave this company. Simply, ignore all of this harrashment, acquire offer letter and keep your middle finger up. This thought i would like to share with you.
