In addition to posting your own fliers, you can check places that have community message/bulletin boards. This time of year, a lot of parents will post their own adds trying to get a summer babysitter. You just take down their information and contact them. Good places to check for this kind of ad:
*Local YMCA or community center
*Grocery Stores
*Public Library
*Community college (there are LOTS of good ones here, usually)
*Local gyms
*Local cafes or small businesses that have community bulletin boards.
I used to get lots of babysitting jobs this way and through word of mouth. Also, check with your teachers at school who you know have kids. They are the best clients to spread word of mouth advertising for you. Teachers are always looking for good babysitters and they're always trading information with each other. |

it help if your parents know any body that have children ask your parents if they are complaining about them not being able to go out because of there kids ore something and your parents could suddenly bring it up that you babysit and give them your phone number and usually they will say yes
if you like to play with a little kid that you know met there parents and maybe mention that you babysit it's all about connections
flyers don't normally work beacuse people just either don't care or don't read them the parents would rather know you
and if you play with there child and there child likes you they will think more to hire you for babysitting |

put out flyers in your neighborhood and ask the parents that you babysit if they know anybody that needs a babysitter, that will be your best reference. |

Definitely put up signs at the grocery store or any other place that moms take their kids to (parks, schools). Make it so there are little rip-off tabs at the bottom with: Your name, Babysitter, Phone #. That way the moms will remember why they pulled the tab off. |

Put up flyers. Make up some flyers or business cards and see if some of the local businesses (day cares, family restaurants, children's clothing stores)will let you put them on the counter. Take some flyers and business cards to your local park on the weekend and talk to some of the parents. See if they're interested in babysitting services. Offer to tell them about your experience, etc. |

Ok here is what you do. If you know the neighborhood well and you know who has kids make a flyer and put what you said about your self. Like you love kids and love to babysit. And if yuo dont know the neighborhood that well ride your bike around on a Saturday or sunday ( that is when kids are out) and get the addres. See if they need a babysiter. Well good luck! |

Make flyers, pass them out all over your neighborhood, and surrounding areas. Post flyers at local grocery stores, dollar stores, gas stations, schools, etc. A lot of parents need daycare for summer time because school is out. Put an AD on Craigs List. It is totally free. www.craigslist.com |
