A professional verbal warning first. Something like this: "no sugar, no job, b*tch!"
Then if it continues, a written warning:
"Dear Julie... No sugar, no job, b*tch! Yours sincerely..."
Then chase her out of the office throwing bags of sugar at her retreating form. |

Perhaps she thought you could do with losing a few pounds. |

Start as you mean to go on, spread malicious rumours about her until she gets upset and quits. I mean, no sugar, that's just not on. |

Madam, she must surely have reached the conclusion that you are sweet enough already. |

I think that what this young lady needs is a target. First, you must set a suitably SMART target – in graduated steps in terms of achievement, because you can’t expect everything at once, you know! Say, being able to find the sugar/remember where it is for the first week, then for the second week being able to find the spoon. You can't possibly issue a written warning without training – you can’t expect miracles you know. Training will probably be undertaken out-house by a specialist company of trainers in beverage supply at about £200 per diem. She should start by learning to count, as she will have to count the numbers of spoonsful to put in so a specialist mathematician may be required. You don't seem to have had much regard for her safety, my dear. Your outfit will need to invest in some special equipment in the form of oven gloves to protect her from the heat of the mug and goggles for possible splashback. Bending down to cupboards requires the famous Manual Handling training (2 days, country hotel in Oxfordshire, £1,750). The trainers should equip her mentally and emotionally for the task of writing her own Risk Assessment which will naturally be discussed with you, refined, discussed again and produced in triplicate, one for her, one for you, one for Human Resources, digital and paper just in case...
On second thoughts, it might be quicker to just get your own supply and keep it in your desk… |
