I started my small business because I wanted to get out of debt. My husband will reach retirement in less than 15 months. I needed an income that would substain us pay for insurance and let us live a nice comfortable life.
We will have his retirement and his social security. But, I want my house paid for and I want all of my bills ect paid off. He tells everyone that ask whats he going to do when he retires that hes going to deliver flowers.
I also think that if you can make a business from home especially when you have children. No matter if its male or female and you over see the growth of your children they are better educated children. |

Jobs and businesses are essenially the same, just the scope and amount of resources are different. Job "bosses" become customer "bosses", managing the "inventory" of your gasoline, scheduling "transportaion resources", keeping accounts flush enough with "operating capital" , Adding to skill sets activites like OJT or formal education this is like "Research and development". So the biggest difference is who gives you direction, this is a form of personal freedom. What you do with the fruits of efficient small buisness is in the hand of the beholder.
So that's the best reason - a strong desire to manage your personal freedrom. |
