I have been averaging $2,000+ a month for the last 4 months, but it took a lot of researching to find quality sites. If you'd like more info, please see my profile.
All of these sites are free to join. And I have learned from experience: Never join a site that asks for an up front fee. If they were doing that good, they wouldn't need to charge you.

Another forum is Mylot.com . It is similar to Yahoo Answers except you get paid a few pennies to ask and respond to other members questions. It is not much but it is a legitimate site . Again I really like it because members talk about their sites and blogs and how they make extra money.

Some people do surveys and say they make money. From what I have read the claims of super earnings that you will find on the Internet are vastly overstated. I have not made any money from surveys. Surveys are sent to you according to your profile. A lot of companies pay in points or monthly cash draws. Some do send cheques. Some are scams. If you want to do surveys keep on reading Yahoo Answers and Mylot to find the good ones.
If you can write there are some companies that pay if they accept your articles, Epinions, Associated Content and Helium are legitimate companies. There may be others.
There are a lot of PTR sites (Paid to read) that send you e-mails to read. Cashcrate, Hits4pay and Donkeymails are supposed to be good sites according to what I read in forums.
Last but not least: Never pay any money to get lists of survey companies and lists of employers for data entries. Lists of survey companies are free on many sites, a lot of data entry companies are scams. So are stuffing envelopes and assembling crafts at home. Beware of companies that make you buy a monthly inventory of their products. And remember if a site promises you untold riches be wary.
