The best small business is the one you have a passion for. All small businesses are the same around the world. If you start a small business based on numbers, profit etc, then you will be miserable, have a bad business, and fail. The guy next to you with the same business might thrive, become a millionaire.....because he has a passion for what he does. Do what you know, and love what you do. |

if you end up considering on line work here are a few cautionary things to consider:-
Get onto a Search Engine eg. http://yahoo.com and type in the search text box (Note use double quotes) “is (such and such URL) a scam”. If you get some results, click on a few of them to see what people are saying about the business. If a lot of the comments are bad then it is a warning sign to stay away from that work at home site.
Remember
1. Some people are very petty, so you must consider the statements made before listing the company as bad.
2. Some do not read the fine print when signing up or do not fully understand the concept therefore when a problem arises they complain loud and long.
3. Many of these companies have hundred of thousands of clients but have only a few complaints.
4. Make considered judgments.
Always check on line jobs with these URLs and any other data bases of this type or Home Business forums before even considering any on line job:-

Personally I think the best business to start is one where your heart would be in.
For me, it was something that was practicle and usefull and things people use every day and pay for anyway. something easy to provide and it brought in money every month. Not where I had to continually sale something. I think the best product and easiest thing to do is in the telecommunication/satalite business. For me it's best because I can save people money on their phone bills, Internet, VOIP, digital, video phones and also can offer them cheaper cellular phones through all the major cellular phone providers like Verizon, T-mobile, AT&T, Sprint, Nextell etc. cheaper then if they were to go in on there own. Then with all the services that they are on, every single month they pay their bills I make money over and over every single month. To me this was the best. I save people money and make money all in one shot.
Your interest might be different then mine. You might like to have a business helping people healthwise by selling Zija that's an all natural health drink that helps people with their pain instead of having to take pain meds all the time. Athletes, like people from the NFL drink this on a daily bases. People who've had surgeries it helps them heal and can walk. People started drinking this with arthritis and it went away.
You might like to get involved in a business like Kyani helping people with health issues giving them suppliments that helps them with things like iron diffeciency, autism etc. Making them healthy simply by all natural suppliments and curtain fluids.
So many different business's to start up or get involved in one that's already established but you can have your own business inside of a business. Kind of like owning a part of a franchise.

There is no one best small business to start with. Education, either from college or self teaching will take you a long way toward your goal. Read books by Seth Goden and others who have made it. Read The 4 Hour Work Week, The E-myth, The Blue Ocean Strategy, The Long Tail, Lucky or Smart and many, many more great authors. You can download some at www.wmeu.org for free. Also remember to look at small niche markets and try to create a market where "you are" the new category. You can then market the category, be the first one in it and dominate it for years while upstarts send prospects your way as they advertise in "your" category.
Find a mentor that is in a similar field of interest and ask them for help. Be careful of the MLM claims of riches. MLM's will tell you they are doing great and have a lot of potential but will avoid telling you how much they are making because they aren't making anything. You will see a trend in these people as they bounce from one "great" MLM to another in search of the one that works. Remember that I said "to be careful" with MLM's - not avoid them. Kiyosaki, Trump and Robert Allen all advise to join one just to learn how to sell and a few do make it rich in the MLM system.
