Know what is his goal/s in the company. Prove to him rather he need you to achieve it. Show him that he need to rely on you, to get credit for him. He will than treat you better. Use EQ, learn to handle your boss tactfully. |

My boss is the same way, he gets to work 30-45 mins late everyday but if your one minute late he trys to give you a lecture about it, and half the time he is just walking around with the coffee mug in hand and doing no work all day, but can't stand when an incoming call comes in for him. I will be looking for another job soon and when I leave I will make sure to tell him how everyone feels about him. |

People like him are un-touchable .. think about it - how did he get the position...he must have some hob knob's ear... try your best to avoid hm and dont let him get to you.. he will get bored and move on to some other cushy number..soon.. |

The way to do this depends on whether or not you want to remain working for this person. If you're going to leave, tell him straight out (have someone with you to act as support and as a witness). If you don't want to leave, take the easy way out and say to him, something like "As we work together, I thought you would want to know I'd heard .....etc, etc. |

No wonder the poor chap is rude not getting a pay packet each month. The test of if he is useless is how the trust is doing. If it is doing badly may I suggest you pay the next chairman an incentive to get it going well. Managers are not in the business to be charming they are there to make the company successful. Do you believe that he will pull his socks up if you tell him he is useless? Have you just graduated from a charm school yourself? |

Tell him that his name is often mentioned by others during discussions in a very unpositive way, then take it from there. |

State your concerns directly to your boss, and if that doesn't work, the next person up the ladder.
Try to remember though, he or his superior are probably not going to respond well to the "you are/he is USELESS" approach this could very quickly, and almost always will "blow up in your face" and you will appear to be the problem.
Try starting with something like, "You know Bob, I really like the way you approached the _______ problem last week, and the way you handle the changing of the toilet paper is exemplory. But, I think I speak for everyone when I say, your approach to the staff leaves something to be desired, we are people too, and would appreciate being treated as such."
In other words, try not to make it sound entirely like whining, or complaining, just try to state you think there is room for improvement. |

Have a board member see him in action. My boss is useless too and I am not afraid to tell him although he is not rude to the customers... He is however wasting my time when I need to be doing something else that he makes me do. |

Your job is to help your boss be successful. If he is useless, you are not doing your job. If he is the chairman, he did something to get there. If he is in the way, rude, or detrimental to the business, ask him to design an educational presentation to inform employee how to avoid these behaviors. |
