Yes, you can work from home on the internet.
Probably before I'm done posting this about 10 people will copy and paste their little message lol...
Anyways though, I personally use 2 sites to make money online with. One is a freelance site (Elance) the other is a GPT site (CashCrate)
Both sites are completely free to join and use, and they have no catch at all except if you make a lot of money with them of course you'll have to pay taxes =P
With Elance you write articles for people, or do other things that they require. This is a very competitive site, and I wouldn't really recommend it to beginners looking to make 'easy' money. You can definitely check it out though.
The other site I use is CashCrate, and basically what you do is fill out free surveys and offers and they pay around $.25-5.00+ depending on which one you do. And it's completely free, I've actually written a guide over the site and included proof of payments if you'd like to see it =) |

First, never ever pay to get a job. Not for registration or materials. Scams are easy to find. The real jobs aren't. You need to go to http://workathomedesk.com which is a free site that has a directory of legitimate companies that offer jobs to home workers either as direct employees or independent contractors. I have worked as a virtual call center agent for West At Home which is a very good company. Depending on your skills and experience, you should be able to find several leads there. Yes I've tried data entry, and I'm earning some money from it but its difficult find a goof work from home job.
The ones that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.
