np1 kenobi | What are good fields to start a small business in nowadays? |
|
|

The first questions that you need to ask yourself if you want to start your own business are:
·Where do I live and what is needed locally (or online that can be provided from where I live)?
·How much time do I have to devote to the business?
·What do I enjoy doing? - Know your strengths so that you can hire others to cover you weak areas.
·What profit/loss am I looking for in a business?
Thus for anyone just to say to you – go do this or do that, may not make the most sense for you. One very important point here: do NOT take the advise of anyone who had not already gone where to are thinking of going!!!!! Anyone can have an opinion on anything, but to really know something in the entrepreneur field, you have to get you there and try.
OK – with that said, I do run four small businesses that are doing what my wife and I planed for and we are starting to grow. So my advice usually starts by telling people about these sources:
1) http://www.nightingale.com/
Nightingale-Conant — the world’s largest producer and publisher of personal development products and services. I have a number of their products in my library and use them frequently to remind myself of my goals and aspirations. You can check your local library to get started.
2) http://www.startupnation.com/index.asp
I did not have this available to me when I started, however, from what I have been listening to on the radio, these guys have some great ideas and I think that I can learn from them. I have just ordered their book and try to listen to their radio show whenever I can.
3) http://www.entrepreneur.com/
Entrepreneur Magazine has been around for some time now and I have used it periodically for advice. It is relatively inexpensive and can give you any number of good leads.
4) Search on other types of self help references (in your library, in a book store {I like old book stores the best} or online) -
One of many that I have used is Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki. I used parts of his model with other information that I have learned about to set up the foundation that I use for my four companies. I can easily modify as business needs change and may accountant/lawyer {yes, I found one guy who is both} is amazed at my creativity as he normally deal with guys a lot bigger than me, but I am doing some of the same things only on a smaller scale (at least for now).
OK – with all of that said, now to your question specifically. At least in the USA, the number one business that has produced more millionaires than any other business (you might be surprised at this) – is: dry cleaning! The second highest producer of millionaires in the USA over time is – car washes!
You may want to check out Forbes magazine as they do rate companies/industries for start up values and the like. One line of thought is that you should never start up a business from scratch (because it can waste time). Whereas, I personally stay away from franchises as the person who makes the most money there is the franchise owner(s) (but you can do well here as well given the right location and business climate).
So take your pick – the key is to get out there and try something! What makes or breaks many startups are the people who are working the business! Your personal commitment to whatever you do will go a long way in your success.
Good Luck |

Okay this answer may sound dumb... But in the town you live in has a chamber of commmerce. Each town has a list of what are up in coming trends of buisness's for that town. Like you wouldnt put a water park in a place that people wouldnt use it .. like in the artic.. But you would put a petrol station and maybey a postal store. The chamber of commerce has the trends for where you live they are differnt for each city. I would hear what every one says .. then go into your city choice and talk to the chamber and the small buisness League ... They can help you find contacts and give you an idea if a skyline chilli will do good in your town, as opposed to a checkers. |

Vacationing, really everybody needs relaxation, leisure time. Without this 5.9 trillion$ industry we would be stressed out, strung out and totally whacked out. Think about it everybody needs a break now and again. Our bodies, minds and even our spirit man needs time off to reflect and to rejuvenate. We manage stress better and come home and back to our work places more creative and more energized. It's a fact stress kills! That is why I love this business I am in. I'm on vacation 24/7 and that is my business. What do you really want to spend your hard earned money on? I have the answer, a business that allows you to make money without having the stress of selling, or closing, you don't even have to collect the money. Just market and vacation while you collect the checks, best business I ever had (I've had a few)! Go now to www.shahansdestinations.com or give me a call 1-866-562-1967 |

My Grandparents are keeping up there in age and now have a problem driving. Taxi service does not always meet their needs.
With that in mind I would think a business which transports senior citizens to their doctors. |

Well, i retired at the age of 72! Sat around for a month-bored stiff! Asked some other retirees what they do to keep the boredom away. they said:"Try crafts"! Did that. Sold 2 funky bird houses!
Decided there had to be something better. So, having a long career in mechanical work, i decided to pick up old lawn mowers that were set out for garbage collection. I repaired the first one, sold it for $40, and was off on a long road of fixing mowers, and all the related products!
So, keep an eye out for something that needs your expertise, and educate yourself for the work, or product, and go from there! Remember--there ain't no free ride! And, do not fall for "work at home", envelope stuffing, millions of dollars hidden in outer Mongolia, or Nigeria, waiting for you to get it out of the country!
Everybody needs a product repaired, or a service performed, and there's money to be made-you just have to work for it!

The best field to start a small business in is the field that you are passion about.
You must be totally committed and devoted to your business!
Be prepared to work 12-18 hrs a day, 7 days a week for the first 2 years.
If you are passionate, committed and work smart/hard you will succeed!
Good luck! |

You can start an online affiliate marketing business. Earn commission by marketing info products. But be warned that it's not so simple and easy as claimed by many. You have to put in your fair amount of hard work. |
