I've been in business for nearly two decades, and I've built business websites for others, too. Whatever you come up with, make sure the name is simple, and don't go with anything vague that doesn't identify what kind of business it is. When someone is seeking (in your case) a gift wrapping service, they'll find yours FIRST in the phone book or through directory assistance, if you place key words such as 'wrap' 'wrapping', 'gift(s)' 'present(s)', 'package' or 'packaging' in your name.
BTW, there are a lot of people nowadays (from busy parents, to corporate executives) who have large circles of friends, family and business associates/employees, but little time to spend buying and wrapping gifts or dealing with parties or awards presentations. They go online or they pick up the phone. So a gift-wrapping service can be expanded to include other sales and services as well.
Such as gift-baskets with themes (think baby shower, bridal shower, business awards, etc.), a (wrapped) gift delivery service, throwing theme parties, supplying one-of-a-kind handmade giftwraps & trims, party items, even imported items. You can start small and build in any number of directions, and work your way toward an online catalog of one-stop merchandise and services. And if you are good, you will have lots of return customers, because no one runs out of gift-giving occasions.
May you be wrapped in fun and success! |
