Karen H | What are some easy food ideas to make while babysitting? |
food:
brownies are pretty easy. cook a sheet of brownies according to the directions. once the brownies are cool. take pumpkin pie filling (make sure u get ur aunt/uncle to approve of this since they may want to use that for dinner tomorrow) and pour the filling over the brownies. cook in the oven for 5-10 minutes and then once cool cut into squares. they're really good!
game:
make classic hand turkeys like 10 per child and have them write their names on it.
then they have to sit on the couch, or in a room, with their eyes closed
then you hide the turkeys and they have to find them and the first one to find all of theirs (without accidently collecting another siblings) wins. |

I really like flapjacks - rolled oats + sugar + raisins + butter: mix together, shape into patties, bake for 20 mins, leave to cool, eat. You can't get much simpler than that! |

an easy and fun idea is to make Pb&J or turkey if the kids have allergies and have the kids use large cookie cutters to cut there sandwiches into fun edible shapes. My kids eat this one up! Another idea is to go to the store, purchase a pillsbury dough, spaghettie sauce and grated cheese, have the kids roll the dough into flat round "mini" pizza doughs and proceed from there...the kids really will eat anything that they can create themselves. To get them to eat some veggies try baby carrots with dressing, or celery with PB and raisins on top (ant on a stick). Hope this helps! |

When I babysit; I usually pop a pizza in the oven or microwave chicken nuggets and give them vegetables...for dessert I give them cookies either baked in the oven or packaged. These two meals are fast and quick and definitely easy to clean up. |

Ask the parents permission and then bring supplies for making pizzas. Kid's can personalize them and have fun. Make sure you make the dough the day before though. You can also make dessert pizzas where you bake the dough first and then spread with Nutella and M&Ms |

You should just try making simple things like pizza, salad and pasta just things that are easy and don't take long to make. These sort of things don't take long to cook. Which means you don't need to leave the kids in front of the tele or what ever for to long. |
