look toward any service based business to get you in for a low inventory investment. try to analyze your skills or take classes to offer your services to someone in exchange for a fee. you can consider anything from maintenance to computer science and beyond. there are part time and full time service jobs always available. good luck! |

I suspect you have been watching too many infomercials. There must actually be companies that do this, but your margins of profit will be awfully small. Afterall, who really needs you to put their product on e-bay? You want a company to pay for inventory, finance and store the inventory, and bill you and ship only when you make a sale, right? The only company I know of which gets their way with suppliers like this in a manner big enough to make money is Walmart. Unless you are Walmart, I'd say your chances of making money like this aren't overwhelming.
Now, if you want a business where you don't have to stock inventory, you want to sell your own expertise at something. You can become a consultant at what you do best or you can perform services in an area you know about. For example, if you know how to paint a wall and you can estimate how much it will cost you to paint a room, you can sell your ability to paint the room, add in the cost of paint and spackling compound, a few brushes and paint trays, etc., and you're in business. Just make sure you are licensed and insured and you can operate a business with minimal stock and supplies.
When I was in high school, I sold my services painting houses, I refinished furniture, I did heavy cleaning. All of those businesses can be operated with minimal overhead and minimal stock and supllies.
If you want to do internet sales, your best bet might be to go to estate sales in your area. Buy nice things at low prices. Then offer them on e-bay. You'd be surprised what some people will pay for things like this. Don't buy run of the mill junk. Buy things for resale that collectors might like. e.g. vintage stereo equipment, toy trains, old toys still in boxes. Good luck. |

Go to ebay, click on the "Community" button at the top of the page, click on "Discussion Boards", then click on "Seller central". Type "dropshipper" or "dropshippers" into the search engine for that board and you'll get all the info you need as to why this is a terrible idea. |

Kitten there are several direct selling companies that you can sell from home via internet... but you still have to do some leg work to get people to look at your site... Mary Kay...Warm Spirit...Tupperware...Pampered Chef and of the such don't require you to have inventory...thats up to you if you want merchandise on hand. You can handle your business just from online...but like I said...you have to have people check out your site which requires you dealing with humans in person or on the phone... |

Ok, you have obviously not heard of something called drop shipping.. Many warehouses and distributors offer a service called drop shipping.. Basically, the keep the product in their warehouse, when you get an order from your store, you then call the distributor and order that item and tell them where it is to be shipped (directly to you customer)
They usually charge you depending on the cost of the item.. you should never be charged more than a $5.00 dropshipping fee.. Then they pay the shipping and you pay them back for it (but make sure to ask for the tracking number, that way not only can you track your item, but you can see how much they pay for shipping so you know they arent over charging you)
So this way, you dont have to stock a warehouse OR stock shipping products.. all you have to do is place the order and take the customers money.. alot of drop shippers also offer an online catalog where you can copy and paste the info into your website.. but you usually need a tax ID and sales and use tax number to get an account with these people.
I dont know where to send you cause i dont what what products you want to sell.. but all you have to do is google the word Drop Shipping and a bunch of things about it come up.. i know ABOUT.COM has some interesting stuff |

Their are some really good companies to partner up with, and some bad ones. Be care full investigate before joining.
Most of real good ones will require an investment. look for ones that offer your money back if you find it does not work for you.MLM is the best source of home business i have found. Well there are MLM's that will romise this but I suggest never paying to join any of them. You have to find a online business that you enjoy doing otherwise it is just another job. what do you really want to sell? Is it just selling you want to do or just make money? I guess these are questions you have to ask your self. you can email me as I am trying to do the same thing. I make 300 in 2 months, but I worked very hard for that and it may pay off eventually. |
