First off, you should inquire to see if you can get a work permit in your state. If you can, start applying places! When I was 14, I got a job working as a board operator at a radio station, and eventually I became a dj and had my own show. And that was all by the time I was 15! So keep your eye open, read the paper, search local job market websites, and find something you love! Don't settle for flipping burgers. There are always better jobs!

well by you 13 going on 14 you will need to go to your school and ask them for work programs like main power its work you do in the summer and sometimes they last all year you also can try fast food but i will tell you not to do it cause if you ever try to get a good job it will be hard to get cause they will think you only good in fast food. |

oh me too!!! i like love shopping at hollister and its soooo exspensive! ya know. well if u have any Chinese places u should try there, and u can always like go to summer places in the summer and just ask if u can clear tables for a few bucks and then there is like.....playing instruments or selling stuff on EBAY! lol. but im broke and all those things are retarded so ill just like wait till i get alot of money for my b-day lol |

The list can go on and on but only you can pick one thing and concentrate on it. What do you enjoy that others don't like, can't do, or don't have the time or equipment to do? Some examples would include running errands (shopping) for the elderly or disabled, computer research, teaching computer skills or setup, selling on Ebay, writing a newsletter for teens, tutoring younger kids, holding story hours for kids, selling music CDs or movies online or offline, planning parties, selling cosmetics or ... well, I could go on and on. There are a number of library books at your local branch that you should take a look at. You'll get ideas, startup assistance, and read stories of teens and tweens that have been successful. Ask your parents for guidance. Don't give up. Give 100% to your entrepreneurship but don't get overconfident and don't take focus from school and other obligations. Use your spare time for spare money but don't let it run your life. Take care of your health and your wealth. |

Most places cannot employ anyone under 16.
Baby-sitting is the most lucrative if you take the course.
Dog-walking or cat-sitting is good in some areas.
My best & favourite job was grass-cutting.
Advertise at laundromats & supermarkets bulletin boards.
Don't list address, age & gender, just parents phone number.
Make sure your parents check-out any customers. |
