What items do you personally buy on eBay, maybe that will help you decide?

When I go to E-bay, I am looking for a hot deal on anything. However, I would say that a few things sell better than others:
Items you can purchase in lots, but sell individually. You can do this through warehouse clubs (like Sam's Club), or discount places.
I've always thought that yard-saling is such a missed avenue. Become a professional yard-saler, pick up items that are unique and/or popular and sell them on E-Bay. Most people have yard sales to clean out their crap. But you know what they say about one person's crap being another person's treasure.
Regional Items - are there things you can sell from your region that are easy and cheap for you to get but maybe less cheap in that person's area? It's worth a try! |

why don't you go research Ebay? I don't think it's a matter of what sells the best, it's what sells that offers you the most profit. Shipping 5 profitable things is better than shipping 30 things that might 'sell the best' but offer you the same amount of return as the 5 things. Look for something that gives you the most bang for your buck, not what you can sell the most of. |

it depends on the time of year i suppose ive sold alsorts on there and 1 thing could sell great at summer but in winter it wont go for as much i realy aint got a clue what certain thing sells best but as a parent i would say chidrens stuff |

That's kind of tough. I would dare say that rare pop culture items are the most highly marketable. Even ridiculous things like Mary, Mother of God burned into a piece of toast. Dick Cheney's infamous birdshot pellet that shot his buddy sold for something like $20,000 USD. Elvis and Madonna memoriblia seem hot ticket items. I know I buy antiques (mainly books) but I don't think that represents the masses to well. I'm just a nerd. |

Items that sell best are things people want most - the current 'hot' items like ipods or the new xbox systems are good examples. Also, ebay has become a good place for collectors to buy and sell things they collect - like comic books, beanie babies, stamps, or antiques.
Basically, its supply and demand. If you have something a lot of people are looking for, it will sell, and for a good price. |

Goodness, what doesn't sell on Ebay? I personally buy a lot of equine supplies and have sold a variety of things there as well. Instead of having a garage sale, I will go thru my house and list items on Ebay and get lots more money for it there. |
