The key to a successful eBay selling is simple -- Sell products that people actually want.

eBay has several ways for you to determine exactly what the hot items to sell on their marketplace:
Items In Demand = the most popular items currently within that particular category. To see the In Demand page, go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/sellbycategory.html
Hot Items by Category Report = a monthly report that lists the fastest growing categories on eBay for the previous month. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/whatshot.html and select "Hot Items by Category" from the menu on the left.
eBay Pulse = "a daily snapshot of current trends, hot picks, and cool stuff on eBay". Go to http://pulse.ebay.com/ to see eBay Pulse in action.
Merchandising Calendar = eBay promotes specific categories on its home page each month. Savvy eBayers know that this home page exposure results in more interest in such categories. Go to http://pages.ebay.com/sellercentral/calendar.html to view the current Merchandising Calendar.

I sold my old clothes which I had only ever worn once or twice and they made me a small fortune but after they were gone I ran out of stuff to sell. Its not that easy if you wantr to be consistant. a lot of people sell fake designer clothes but that can be risky. Good luck !!! |

did you hear about the girl that sold her virginity to get through collage - tried that but mine was a second hand virginity and nobody bid on it. I suggest something like concert tickets, buy them way in advance from other sites then sell them when all the tickets are sold out and they are highly in demand. |

i sold some books recently. why not work out what the big sell out toy is going to be next xmas, buy a few hundred of them and sell them when the shops run out. |

.....I think what is more important is obtaining what ever you want to sell at the cheapest possible price..Whether it be a fluffy teddy bear to a latest up to date mobile phone..Try thinking of something that excites you, something that is part of your hobby. |

If you want to sell clothing, backpacks, stuff like that, you can buy from http://www.clothing4all.com and get the lowest price without having to buy any minimum quantity. |

Buy directly from wholesalers and sometimes manufacturers for the best profits. I know a few ebay powersellers in real life who use wholesaler directories like http://wholesale.50webs.org/ or http://dropship.tk .. it makes more sence to sign up to a directory like this to get access to thousands of manufacturers, wholesalers and dropshippers than spending centuries on google searching for suppliers :-) |
