What do I wrap parcels in?

I also run an ebay business and depending on the type of stock, your selling determines how you wrap your items. If an item is already in a box, all I do is bubble wrap it and use brown parcel paper. For an item that is not boxed, I do tend to use a padded envelope and put extra bubble wrap round it especially if it’s fragile. My advice would be to shop around for your packing supplies as it does all add up.

mine varies, depending on what im posting.

some things fit nicely into a jiffy bag.
others, i've used bubble wrap and brown paper, cardboard boxes etc.

you can buy a whole roll of bubble wrap in Wilkinsons quite cheaply. i bought a load of jiffy envelopes in the pound shop. and value sheets of brown paper in Tesco. No point in spending a fortune on it.

I use blue mailing envelopes for clothes, you can buy them dead cheap on ebay, or boxes and shredded paper for breakables.

A good tip is to wrap things in old xmas wrapping paper and stick a clear bit of paper on the front for the address.

Depends what it is you're sending. If you're sending something already in a box (suitably wrapped for transport)then I would simply use a good quality brown wrapping paper (available from all good Post Offices)....not forgetting the address and return label!

vanda
it can be anything from brown paper to bubble wrap and jiffy bags as best to wrap them up well or the buyer complaines and leaves negative i no that from experience when i first started selling on ebay

Depends what it is, CDs and DVDs i put in a padded envelope. I put clothing in a waterproof bag then wrap in brown paper. It doesn't really matter what you wrap them in as long as the address is clearly visible, the item is safe and protected and make sure they are marked with 'fragile' or 'do not bend' if that is the case.

Wrap your products well insulated from any shipping/mailing abuse possibilities.
If your product is clothing no problem just a bubble envelope will do.
But if breakable I'd create at least 1/2" cushioning (bubble, peanuts, etc --NOT paper though rolled up paper is very heavy & I assume you want to keep your rates low).
Anyway yeah, create a buffer of packaging all around your product
Good idea to assume your box will be crushed or/& sides will be dented by other boxes.

Better to over wrap than under that's for sure.

Good luck to your e-baying!

Bubble wrap and brown paper from the pound shop

Cardboard boxes are always free if you go to your local supermarket and ask for some (bit cheeky but I've never had one say no yet)

If you're confident to drop it out of an upstairs window after it's packed then it'll survive the post office.

Don't forget it's surprising how much heavier packaging (especially card boxes) can make your stuff. Add some to the postage

Jiffy bag
Box

Bubble wrap and brown paper

anything that keeps it safe
