Legal services; auto insurance; massages; shipping and packaging services; etc.
I think a "Mail boxes, etc." business would work very well in a mall--right next to where the gifts are bought, they could be wrapped, packaged, and mailed out. |

Play on people's lazyness and lack of free time.
No more hunting for a parking spot, and walking across 120 degree parking lot, or one that is in the middle of a summer thunderstorm. Offer me valet parking.
Once inside offer storage lockers, package watching, coat check, etc.
If you are on a major spending spree, carrying all those bags from store to store get heavy. Maybe it was cold outside, raining, snowing, etc and now once inside you have to carry a coat, umbrella, etc while you are trying to shop.
Give me a safe place to park my stuff, and pick it up when I'm done. Maybe even help little old ladies carry things to their car. |

I work in a Mall and it would be nice to have a small drug store, to get over the counter medication, gum, and what nots. Some of the high end malls may not allow such a thing, maybe a news stand type of place with all the other things and magazines and newspapers something to do if you work at the mall and business is slow. |

most mall space is rented at a high premium.
Groceries don't make as much money as you would think.
Neither does beer, wine and alcohol...
there should be a bar in a mall where people can get a cold one when they are waiting for people to shop..it would ease the shopping experience.
the stores you see that stay and don't go out of business are the ones that are selling high volume sales..Sears, Elderbeerman, and some smaller people like Corn Dog and Taco Bell make a lot of money due to the high volume of shoppers..but malls are very expensive for the rent and a lot of stores just can't pay the rent... it takes a lot of sales to pay the thousand of dollar rent |

scuba shop. I opend one in the mountains an it's still just barely creaping by but in a mall it would flourish. Also Tattoo's would do good in the mall. |

I think it would be smart for a car dealership to buy an outside facing suite, and part of the parking lot, and have a dealership in the mall.
by the way, there are malls here in hawaii with grocery stores. |
