lol i work with people who have master degrees who cant send faxes or make copies either...its ridiculous.....very very sad...they probably can but their just to damn lazy....but i can tell you one thing it seems as if the higher the degree that they have the less common sense they have |

Talk to your superior - to be honest just because you dont know how to fax etc.. doesnt mean your not good at your job, maybe he never had to learn |

Modern technology can stump even the most intelligent person. Mature age people find it hard to adjust to the way things are done now. I used to work at at supermarket, 18 years ago, but a lot has changed since then and I'd probably freak out if put in front of a modern day checkout. We used to have to put in each individual price that was ticketed on the item, by hand, no scanning or eftpos transactions then and if the sticker was missing, we'd have to run around and get the price. I "was" pretty good then, we even had races just for fun after work, between the employees. |

i worked with 4 bosses who did not know crap and rode me to look good and they got promoted and i stayed at the same postion. i quit that job cus it was about who was in the click and not your ability to do your job. |

Maybe he is one of those people that has book sense but no common sense. If that is the case and he is capable of doing his engineering job don't worry about it. However, if he is truly stupid and can't do anything I would distance myself from him so you don't go down in flames with him.
Also, if you get started doing all of his copying, stapling, etc for him then you will be stuck doing it forever. |

Have you check his credentials, how do you know that he is really who he says he is? If he is an engineer he should know the basics of machines, isn't that what they fix? Advice to him to take a course on office equipment and get another engineer degree in copy/fax/e-mail... |
