I think it can be a good thing if you are a buyer and find something you have been looking for.. but if you are a seller it has its up and downs... when you sell something and someone does not pay for it thats not good.. also ebay charges way too much for selling things.. if its a small item and not a lot of money then all of your money goes to ebay... just some thoughts... |

I've had a personal eBay account for 5 years now and bought and sold without any problems, it brings in useful cash.
I started a business account a year ago, selling stock from my family business, now in it's 40th year. Decided to do it also to bring in much needed cash as it does, otherwise I might have gone under!
So I can highly recommend it, as long as you set up a PayPal account to send/receive money you should have no worries.
Serve your customers well, do not overcharge for postage/packing, get a good feedback rating and watch the pennies roll in. |

i've been an ebay member since Feb 2002. It has almost everything on it that you can think of.
Certain things go for real bargain prices, but some, i.e mobile phones are cheaper in some shops.
Check it out, check out others sites and check in shops.
Generally payment via Paypal is secure and reliable.

Against the grain here but I dislike Ebay due to the charges...now 121bid is a different matter they are 100% Free and the admin there is brilliant at helping or contacting you if need be. |

as a power seller i thinks great, another couple of years i hop that i can give up full time work to concentrate. As long as you become reputable dealer like myself with 110% feedback and guarantee that your goods are dispatched quickly and they work, Ebay is a great site. |

I think it`s great and have several good bargains from it. I have also sold a few things and not yet had any bad experiences.....
It`s always best to do all transactions through paypal as it is very secure.... |

if you look around and don't impulse buy it can be good same when selling i wouldn't sell to anyone w/ less then 5 feedbacks as they are pretty new and may not be real or trustworthy same goes for sellers i wouldn't buy from someone as quickly w/ a low sell # as someone with thousands who obviously people keep buying from for a reason |

No problems to buy. I usually check the sellers rating % (normally buy from sellers with 90% and above) and read some feedback. Prefer to buy from the UK. Hong Kong is good for MP4's and memory sticks. |
