I don't use Ebay so I don't have any dog in this race. However, I think it's pretty dumb and greedy. Everybody's downloading tunes off the web and some braintrust thinks the magic number for the price of a song is .99¢. Well, when it was reduced to .25¢ by some competitor, it generated 6 times the number of paid-for downloads. I'm sure you can do the math and realize with the web you can make more money selling things cheaper and cheaper, because all of a sudden the price looks good to more and more millions of people.
So Ebay may be committing web suicide. |

I have sold on Ebay since 1999... I left in 2005 after being nickeled and dimed to death. I do not sell there anymore, I do not buy there anymore. Ebay's lack of customer support and care can only be rivaled by that of Yahoo. Screw them, I will never go back to that website. |
