What happend if you buy an item on ebay then pay for it and you dont recive it and you report it?
if you paid with paypal, you should be able to get your money back.

You say Good bye to your money

Depends how you paid for it.
If you paid for paypal, you just file a claim with paypal. After about 10 days file a dispute. Then go from there.
If you paid with a money order, or cash... Your money is gone...
If you paid with a personal check, just find the check number and when they cashed it and file a claim with ebay.
Generally paypal will help you out if you haven't gotten your item.

That happened to me once over a pair of 15 dollar l l bean shoes, Soon after the person was cut off from Ebay. You need to report it if the person is not responding. If you did not pay for insurance then that is your risk. If they say they sent it and you agreed to buy it without insurance then you are out the money and you should not give negative feedback becuase it may not be thier fault, you should give neutral and tell that you did not receive it.

When you report it ebay sends them an e-mail to either give you the money back or resolve the issue, by sending you the item. If you used paypal that money will be put back in your account.

I've been scammed one too many times on eBay so I used AMAZON.com instead. They reimburse you in full after 30 days, and the person who never sent the item gets dissed from their list...fast! I've also had to cancel my PayPal account because of eBay extracting money from my checking account even though I cancelled their services...all around, go with Amazon....it's safer.

the people at ebay should help you out. They will probably try to contact the seller, but if unsuccessful may ban the sellers account.

How did you pay for the item? did you use paypal or a credit card. Your credit card company may be able to help you by canceling the charges. Paypal will usually refund your money and charge it against the seller. I never suggest sending money orders. Also, did you pay for the insurance? Many times buyers do not buy the insurance and the packages get lost in the postal system -this is not the fault of the seller but rather the postal service. If they have a tracking number (delivery confirmation) and can help you locate it- that's good.
Be sure to communicate with the seller - if you receive no return contact then escalate your complaint by reporting it to ebay. Be sure to file your complaint before the deadline.
*** just a note - it is to soon to file a dispute at the 10 day mark - many newbies do this, leave negative feedback and then the package arrives in the mail that day. You should give the seller a good 14 days - which is only 10 WORKING DAYS to have the item delivered. 10 days may simply not be enough time for the item to arrive - if you paid Saturday afternoon - don't start counting your days until Monday - the post office isn't open - and that is NOT the sellers fault
