What do you like to do? A home based business is a lot of work, so you better make sure it is doing something you really like! Consider your hobbies and interests, talents and connections and see who might need something you can provide.
Since you mentioned an education degree- do you have a special focus or even a hobby that might combine well with the teaching (?) degree? For example, if your area of interest was teaching Science, perhaps you would want to tutor school students in the evenings and work with homeschool students (in small classes or individually) during the day. Especially if you really liked a subject and can make it "come alive" you could make a nice living doing something you really enjoy. Subjects that might market especially easily are any of the math, science (especially if labs are involved), music, and language arts areas. I have a friend who had someone who worked with her son on creative writing each week. It was a weak area in their homeschool and they were happy to pay someone to help with that. |
