I'd suggest starting your own home based business. There are plenty of options in this area. They cost less to start up, less headaches and easier to handle then a traditional business. I used to have a traditional business and it can be a night mare. The income opportunity is the same, but you'll have less overhead then the traditional.
My husband and I started our own business over six years ago in this and it's just incredible. We got involved in the telecommunications industry. We partnered up with a 15 year old world wide company that offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway. Services such as local and long distance telephone services, Internet, video phones, VOIP, digital, Satellite T.V. and all the major cellular phone companies have partnered up with them too. How many people do you know that uses any of these services? How would you like it if you could save people money on their services that they are going to be using every day, and make a percentage of everyone's payments? Think about how much money you can make in this industry. It's just incredible.

Or a postal center. I've heard that they are low start up cost and pretty easy to run.
I would not do a subway or a tanning salon. Too many problems with laundry services. Video stores have trouble making a profit, even Blockbuster.
I've seen automated car washes, especially the touchless ones do a booming business! I would love to know the start up costs for one of those.
Vending machines are also great. You can start out with how ever many you can afford, and then obtain more with your profits. I watched a man fill up one of the ones where you try to pull out a prize with a crane with three claws type gadget. I was amazed at how much he was having to put in there! There are plenty of types of vending machines too. Food, drink, toys, jewelry, perfume/cologne, etc... just look around. |

Starting your own business is not just about picking what is a good idea. You have to figure out what you like doing, what your good at or ask yourself this question:
What work would I do even if I didn't get paid?
If you just pick a business that is hot right now at some point in time you will just be working another job like your office one and you will still not be happy.
If you start a business that you enjoy doing the money will come as your customers will see your excitement and talent and will be happy to pay for it and refer other people to you which means more profits for you.
