They all make their own salary if they own their own shop. So if I was going to run my own shop I would $10.OO an hour and for my employees i would pay them $8.00 an hour. Good luck in this. |

That's too much of an open question
Hairdressers can earn anything from just above the minimum wage to 300,000 a year
One of my friends who works a Jo Hanson (one of the top salons in the country) gets paid about £700 for one cut and colour
But if you work in a small salon you could be scarping by
This also refers to opening your own salon
It depends on your market, reputation and location |

just trying to make a difference

Fully trained hairdressers are likely to earn between £11,000 and around £16,000 a year.
At the top of the profession, hairdressers can earn £30,000 or more, depending on reputation and/or location of salon. |

What ever they want it to be. Im sure there are hairdressers out there that only make 8 or 10 bucks and hour, but at the same time there are hairdressers out there with the same skills making 500 bucks and hour. |

really all depends, if you are a hottie you can build up your client base and make a killing, if you are average to fugly, choose another profession. |

Depends on how good you are, what you can do, what clientele you have, what prices you charge, where you work or who you work for, how much you have to pay for your booth or furnishing your own utensils.
Also depends on location, how long of a day you work, and how many clients you can do in one day.
From the hairdressers I know, most average about $10.00 a person, if they charge around $30.00 for a "doo", and average about 3 - 5 customers a day. |

It depends where you work. if you work at a normal one, you'll probably get a decent salary. but if you work on a salon that celebs come to, you'll make thousands every week. |

hairdressers normally don't get paid a salary, they work on a small hourly wage and rely on a percentage of their cuts, and sometimes they have to "rent" a chair from the salon owner if they work independently. |

I have never met a hairdresser that works for a salary...every one of them work on COMMISSION- a percentage of what the salon charges for their work. Most of them 'rent a chair' at larger saloons and pay a fraction of each 'sale' to the owner of the salon. Those working for themselves get to keep it all but then have to pay business taxes, insurance, rent or mortgage on their salon...but if they have a good clientele they make more money than working in another salon and renting a chair. |
