LLC = Limited Liability COMPANY.

Short Answer, Limited Liability Company
Long Answer, if you really need to know the difference between a corporation or an llc - you need to be talking to a lawyer to see which makes the most sense for you.

dmoore1119
The LLC is a type of hybrid business structure that is designed to provide the limited liability features of a corporation and the tax efficiencies and operational flexibility of a partnership. A popular choice for sole proprietors who are looking to incorporate simply to protect personal assets or secure additional loans, the LLC is thought to be one of the easiest and least expensive forms of ownership to organize. The Limited Liability Company (LLC) is now a recognized business structure in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia. LLCs are gaining popularity with small business owners because they combine the advantages of a corporation with the tax advantages and management flexibility of a partnership.

limited liability company

LLC means a limited liability corporation. There are a lot of good websites that explain the different classifications of businesses and explain when it is most advised to chose an LLC over other classifications. I would also suggest finding a lawyer to confer with especially when setting up a corporation due to the tax laws etc. associated with them.

an llc is a limited liability corparation - some call it the perfect entity -

It was first conceived in Wisconsin - It allows for limited liability for the principals but it is taxed liked like a partnership (thus no double taxation as faced by corporations).

In order to become a LLC memeber you must be designated as such in the LLC documents - which must be filed with the Secretary of State - to form the LLC. (you can amend a current LLC as well).

I would suggest contacting an attorney to get one properly drafted (a tax attorney)

Darkman
Limited Liability Corporation, it means that any investors beside the manager have no part in the company's management.

LLC = Limited Liability Corporation

The differance between a LLC and a Inc. is in the way its run. An Inc. (Incorporated) has a board that oversees the CEO, CFO, CIO, President, and so on. The board of trustees are "trusted" to oversee the best intrest of the company.

A LLC is made up of "members", typically part owners. They oversee themselves for the most part.

This is a laymans answer. I do not have a business degree or MBA. Talk to someone with a business degree to get a more technical answer than that
