I owned my own business for 35 years until I retired and the reason was not the money, some months I didn't even get paid. The reason was FREEDOM and calling my own shots. If I didn't make enough that month, I had no one to blame but me. If I really turned the cranks and earned $85,000 in a good year, I got ALL the credit, not some lame boss that did nothing but get in my way!
