MacDonalds, Hungry Jacks, KFC (and the like) - they are always hiring. You can also try department stores... Kmart, Target, Woolworths etc... Just drop in and fill out one of their employment application forms, if you have a resume, it wouldn't hurt to drop that in as well.
Or you can walk around your local shopping centre and see if anyone is hiring... never hurts to ask! |

Go to your local movie theater! They offer part time work to students, and are very good about working around teens busy schedules. It's fun and you get to see the movies for free! |

This has been very common the past 4 decades for teens to want to work and not have to during the years when they had to quit school to provide for the family. I would want you to search deep down inside for the answer as to why you need or want to work part-time. Another question would be how are your grades? Would they be affected at all? Is the reason for work to buy things...cell phone, clothes, car, freedom to spend money as you please, entertainment funds, etc.? You are old enough to not only babysit, but you are old enough to work just about anywhere by just going to retail stores or food service establishments to ask if they are hiring. Many stores, such as Target or WalMart have a small area near the front of their stores to fill out an application. If I were 16 and knew what I wanted to do with my life, I would seek out employment or even a volunteer position where you can name your hours and receive experience as a means of having something on a resume....your skills. The best way to make sure you keep up your grades and qualify for scholarships for college is to work only during the summers. You may not want to hear that. Make sure your motives for a job are a desperate need to pay your way when your family cannot supply necessary things, such as food, clothing, school fees, etc. Time goes by so quickly. You can't go back to re-do high school. It is a permanent record you will have to supply to colleges and jobs for a very long time to come. Your grades can lead to scholarships as well as our youth needing to do community service projects as a way of giving to society and the community for what they have given to you. Many provide scholarships and good references for college and jobs for years to come. Again, what is your motive? Search deeply within to find that out for yourself. If it is a need to work to help out the family or experience, try it out. Should it affect your education, you can always quit and volunteer. Just don't take a job and start running from employer to employer as it will get back to them and limit your choices to whom will hire you next. |

Please stay away from CashCreate, Treasure Trooper and other survey Web sites.
It is a waste of time and will cause you unhappiness.
If you choose to be suckered in and sign up to take surveys and receive, free trials considered you were warned. The minute you give them your credit card and personal information you have now opened your computer to unwanted cookies on your hard drive, annoying pop-up windows and if you are on a PC you open your computer to viruses that can wipe you out.
A lot of work to collect the "reward payments" that payout is not worth the effort over time. You will need to sign up for many types of offers, most of which require you to use a credit card. You start a week trial service with varies types of businesses or services, such as, an Internet service provider, book club, credit monitoring service, etc. to get your reward. If you don't cancel the trial, you end up being charged for the service and each service has different rules about how and when you can cancel. Very cumbersome!
Since you will need to sign up for at least a dozen offers before you get to $100 in rewards, it's very easy to forget what you have signed up for, or the problems you will have canceling in time to to be charged the full amount. The Cash Create recruiters you see here over exaggerate how much money you can earn because once you've done the high-dollar trials ($8-10 each), you are left with small rewards of a dollar or two. The survey business is not an efficient way to make money and you are more than likely to loose money in the end. |
