Art: Humans are very complex. Thus, science has not figured it all out, nor will it ever.
So, if you are wise, you will combine the best previously developed theories/techniques with your own moment-to-moment study of the specifics of the personalities that you actually have to deal with in your management situations. |

Actually Management is the subject of commerce. But it can be called art as it manage all system, between employee and employer, manufacturing or producing units at artistically.
Even it can be called science as its discussion system, procedure, function and productivity is made scientifically.
In the sense, Management is the subject of commerce - Commerce means commercial arts. commercial means scientific reason.
So in this way management is the combination of science and arts. |

This is an age old debate that is more or less resolved. It is undoubtedly an art and a science. the science part of it comes because of the rational thinking that you use to organize the resources and plan your activities for meeting specified objectives. The art part of it comes handy in coing up with creative solutions for cost effectiveness or for better exeution of the overall strategy. I can say tis with confidence because I am an MMS gradate (Master of Management Studies) and have handled two business plan teams. |

,managing expertise can be created by proper scientific and methodical guidance..on the other hand a person genuinely endowed with managing skills will manage any crisis effortlessly...the latter genre may also be giveh proper scientific instructions which would make him an impeccable manager... any form or type of skill can be viewed in the same way.. for example the art of acting can be perfected through scientific approach to it which in turn can be achieved through training...hence it is clear that for being an artist the fire shall be from within...so primarily management is an art as it is an inborn talent ....secondorily it is a cience in the sense that this skill can be perfected through scientific study of it.. |
