What is something I can sell from home other then Avon or Mary Kay?

I want to make money from home but everyone sells Avon and Mary KAy is there anything else out there I can sell?

My husband and I started our home based business over six years ago. Not with Mary Kay or Avon, but with the worlds largest direct selling telecommunications service provider.
A product that is and always will be in high demand. There are a lot of products and services out there that are good. Mary Kay has a great product so does Avon. but my husband did not want to sale make-up or go around town in a pink car. I guess it's a male thing. I wouldn't of minded that. We didn't have to worry if money became tight that they could easily run to the store and purchase the items on sale or be able to buy it at the dollar store, or go with another brand even if it was temporarily. So, we got involved in the world's largest direct selling telecommunications service provider that was started back in 1993. It's now a 15 year old, world wide international company. With headquarters in Michigan, Charlotte, Amsterdam, Sydney and Montreal.
They have been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company in it's first five years. They are registered with the BBB and the DSA.
They market in services people use every day and pay for anyway. Services like Local and Long Distance telephones, Internet, Digital, video phones, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, Nextell, Altell etc as well. Start by considering what you would use yourself. Then decide what you might like to sell to others and see if there is a company that sells that.

Yourself, but the police migh thave something to say about that.

There are TONS of direct sales business out there. And each one can be great and help you to earn as much or as little income as you choose. There are so many questions to ask when you are seriously considering a home-sales venture, too.

What kind of product appeals to you personally? Compare start up costs, monthly minimum sales, commissions, "downline" commissions, how often the catalogs are released (you'll have to purchase them, so figure catalogs into your cost). Are you limited by territories? Check whether or not they allow you your own web page, can your customers purchase online from your site? Will your online sales count for your minimums? Do they offer fundraisers? What are the Hostess' benefits and how much qualifies as a minimum "show." If you do fall behind and become "inactive" can you become active again or how long do they allow you to be inactive before saying you have to start over completely?

Remember to find an experienced "upline" person with a medium sized team. The personal coaching and support are priceless! I personally tried seven different companies before I found the right fit. Some people can sell "anything;" I suggest you find something YOU like and run with it!
