1) Create a blog pertaining to your field
2) Use Yahoo! Local & Yahoo! Groups – Be sure to read the TOS for each one!

Also, consider signing up for an affiliate program. These programs enable you to advertise on other's sites (your affiliates) and once a sale is made to you, your affiliates & the program are paid a commission.

absolute cheapest option for advertising is to get free listings on line. even yell.com will list you for free then there is ufindus, uksmallbuisnessdirectory and many others i was amazed at how many listings that i could get (17) all FREE.just type in free listing to start with and you will soon be able to find them.these sites have people going to them to find buisnesses so they promote you.plus if you get a web site you get that promoted too. |

it really depends on the type of business who have.i advertise through yell.com at the moment.it costs ÂŁ21.00 a month and has been fantastic.i also had 5000 flyers made, which was helpful, then in turn word of mouth generated a lot of business.also, if you can get a spot on the radio- to help them out by joining a debate, theyll give you free advertising. |

Best and cheapest way to advertise your business is word of mouth publicity. Ask reference from your existing clients and make that as a habit. You will be surprised how fast your business grows and multiplies. |

Use a good national leaflet distrubtion team. You target the areas or the type of houses you want. To fit your budget I always use www.dor-2-dor.com i would never look back. |

You have a computer - print your own leaflets and get a couple of kids to post them for you....pay on completion of course!
Do a few streets every week in different areas...little outlay - possible big returns! Cheaper than a paper advertising schedule! |

That's going to depend upon what kind of business it is. If you manufacture automobiles, don't advertise the same way as if you owned a small one man electrician shop.
Also, if your business is illegall (drugs, prostitution, etc..) keep the advertising to word of mouth - low key stuff. |
