keep it simple - there must be a reason you want to fire the employee -- if nothing else you do not like his hair style. whatever it is just flat out say
"look i it is not working out and your services are no longer welcome here for (whatever the reason) -- do not go into his good points or wish him the best. if he has ever had keys to the place -- change the locks and than look for a replacement. |

it depends what the reason for letting them go is, and where abouts you are.
in england, if the reason you are letting them go is because of poor behaviour, idleness, you must give them a verbal warning, then a written warning. only then can you fire them.
if you dont need them gone immediatly,
get them to the side, in an office perhaps, and say, sorry, but im going to have to let you go. you can finish off the month working here, so that you have enough time to find a new job. and maybe give them an extra soething in their paycheck. so theres no hard feelings and so they dont sue your a**. |
