dorkoy | What is the biggest secret of success in starting business? |

LUCK - those who get it right usually do so by by accident (at least small business people do anyway): i.e., right kind of thing in the right place at the right time for right price..........Those that get it wrong go out of business very fast or those get it just ok poodle along for a while doing ok but never getting ahead...then they either work out how to do it properly or give up or get hit by setbacks, get in to debt and fail.......To maximise chances of success do a very detailed business plan (following a book chapter by chapter is best I think) and talk to a lot of people: people who have direct experience, potential customers etc etc.... |

Think of a product or service for which there will be a high demand and little competition. Make sure your pricing is right and marketing is effective. Control costs, aim for as high a profit margin as is achievable and ensure you retain reserves for future development and contingencies. Try to expand your market within logistical expectations. |

That you truly believe in what you do and love it because if you do not how do you expect others too?
That you are prepared to work hard 24/7 and forget holidays, days off and sleep.
That you are organised a tidy ship is a good one.
Those are my three top tips been running own business for 6 years. |

Get a good business plan and review it regularly.
Make sure you have enough funding to cover you until your cash flow picks up, including some cover for emergencies.
Work your socks off.
Make sure you never miss a chance to advertise your services.
Vest of luck! |

Enthusiasm, because enthusiasm comes from the heart.
However, for your business to be successful you'll need to use your head for : -
Market research to assess demand for your product/services
Checkout competition - if too strong think again on price, location, accessibility, etc..
Make sure that you have enough capital to survive for up to eighteen months.
Many of us have done it and been both successful and happy.
The best of luck (and hard work) to you.
Always keep your books up to date. |

In my opinion..
1. Choose something you are passionate about. There will be ups and downs in any business and your passion will keep you motivated.
2. Make sure you have a system. More often than not, it's the system that makes the company successful rather than the product or service
3. NEVER GIVE UP. That is the secret to success for anything!
It took my 8 months of searching before I found the right business for me. Check out my YouTube video http://youtube.com/watch?v=i5ZMgycKRPQ |

Hi,
With over 30 years of experience the biggest secret is PASSION. If you are not 100% passionate about your business, I mean love it, love it, love it you will burn out.
Sincerely,

Eliminate all competition or have a product no one else has. |

No matter how hard it gets, done give up. The biggest thing to over come is yourself. Get advise from professionals. Read a book called E myth, it has a lot of great info. The road before you is a very bumpy one and will get much harder before you may see the fruits from your labor. In the end it may take starting several business before you succeed, but remember it is worth it. |

Chinese says if you can not smile, do not open any business.
Others says: (where customer found) there is tow rules:
1- Customer always right.
2- If any customer makes a mistake, remember rule 1.
I think good research, good directions and management leads to successful starts. |

Get your answer to the question "what business am I in" absolutely clear. For example in catering, you're in business to massage your customers' egos. Of course, the food has to be good too. Also, have enough capital to survive for at least the first six months with not much coming in. |

For some people, they can hold all the chances, some people like finding the chance on the B2B website and the best one in China is http://news.tootoo.com/Industry_News/Apparel_Fashion/ |
