Curios and collectibles shop. Go to estate sales and buy up whatever is cheap; i.e., whatever is there with no expert collector to bid up the price. Invest in some books on collecting from Hobby House Press and Scott Publishing, and become an expert. Be sure to keep a record of what you paid for everything, so you don't sell it too cheap. But if you advertise in the classified sections of specialty magazines, or even small display ads when you can afford them, and offer to sell mail-order, you should at least make enough to keep buying. Hopefully, you will also make enough to build yourself a web site, and photograph the nicest pieces to sell that way. Check out the specialty magazines for how many other people are doing this, and making money at it.
You are essentially "adding value" by your knowledge of the items you buy, and it can be quite a lot of value in some areas. Dolls are an example. Every doll collector magazine includes a column of people asking how much a particular doll is worth. "I bought this at a flea market for $10." and now find out its worth several hundred!

Go get 5 credit cards with zero or low interest and barrow 5k on each, then you can start a better business quickly and have a better return.

start by looking on ebay there are sometimes small businesses for sale on there, my preference would be to buy a small yet descent standard of catering trailer, you can do you food and hygine certification online for a mere £25 and bobs your uncle, pop down the local cash n carry for cheap supplys and most importantly don't be picky about where you sell: car boots, fayres, lay-bys etc, my suggestion would be to start with something fairly easy such as hot potatoes then work up once the money is in fit a griddle n do bacon/sausage rolls, a tea ern is a must, maybe even expand to a fryer for chips! the possabilities are endless as in the winter everyone wants hot food whilst they browse car boots and in summer they need to cool down so an ice box with drinks is good!
