depending on their lawn I would say 20 for a medium size lawn, 10 for a small lawn, and 25 - 30 for a big lawn!!! If you charge too much they wont want you to do it anymore!

krog333
depends on the size of their lawn, if you think a price that u came up with is resonible then ask them, but usally if the lawn isnt like huge then i would go no more then over 30, but the usally amount is 10

I would charge about $5.00

The bigger the yard, the more money you charge!!

an acre = 5-10 dollars.
Ask them about the size of their yard, give them an estimate, but give them a definitely price when you ACTUALLY SEE the yard yourself. You just gotta have a feel for it.

Katy
depends on what size the lawn is

First you need to remember while you're not a landscaper, you are however a big part in helping maintain beauty in the neighborhoods. Depending on where you're going to do the work, upper class, middle class,I think $12.00 and hour is very reasonable.Maybe $10, like I said it depends on where you live and what kind of neighborhood you'll be working in. Always remember to ask your costumer if you could do anything extra....ie.....do you need your bushes trimmed, or your gutter cleaned out. You could even offer to paint their house number on the curb if needed. I personally know a few men, who at this time own a landscaping business (Big Bucks! ! ) and they all started out as you....Mowing lawns.....
I wish you the best of luck on your mowing journey..... ! ! ! !

depends on size of lawn but, try smiling at them they might be nice to you, try negotiating by a few dollars.

depends on how big the yard is really, and you should charge by the hour...and since it often takes less than an hour for a lawn, split it into quarters...for instance if you want to charge 20$ an hour, and a lawn takes 15 minutes, then charge them 8$ ( you can round up to 10 this is just a rough idea) Thats how my brother used to do it and it made him a good bit of cash and the customers like the way he charged.

20 dollars for an average sized lawn.
add and take away for different sizes.
you could also just charge by the hour...

jpmannimar
Give this a try... When they ask you how much you charge tell them that you trust them to be fair in paying you for the service. Most people will pay you more than you thought to even ask for as they do not want to seem "cheap". If they don't, don't cut their lawn again.

My girls to this with babysitting (they do not have a set fee) and they always get enough.

deadlypotent
5 bucks flat
