i have been through times like this also...but now, every bit of money counts. to cut bills such as electricity and water....use floresent light bulbs and energy star appliances. they may be slightly more expensive when purchased, but when the bill comes, it is much cheaper then if regular energy eating lightbulbs and technology was bought. another thing my family does is we save aluminum cans to recycle. we get about $.65-$1.00 back per pound at the metal scrapping place. it isn't much but is still money. if your children have televisions or computers in their rooms, remove them all for they generate allot of energy...have a family television and a family computer instead of each child having their own. now for groceries, clip coupons!!! go online, there are billions of coupons there...and they work all of the time!!! i do it all the time and save hundreds of dollars. for your transporation, try car pooling...or buy a bus pass or something....another way to go is to get a hybrid vehicle...(but is slightly expensive right now) for everyday needs...when going to a department store, the most expensive brands are never the best...try buying the generic brands...for me, i personally enjoy using the equate face wash which is about $2.99 then the television advertised proactive which is cheap at first but then eceeded up to $80.00 a month for treatment bottles. something you might want to look at is something you can do from home. typing, stuff like that. this way you are still at home for some down time but still bringing in some income. I don't know what 'Hazmat' is but do your skills offer the opportunity to use them from your home? the added benefit to this, if done properly, is that you get to write off some of your household expenses at tax time. |

Maybe try SMC or an internet business of your own. Also, look into the Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn. She had a magazine and wrote 3 books (the compendium can be ordered from this address http://www.randomhouse.com/randomhouse/catalog/display.pperl?isbn=9780375752254 ) and they are ways to save more money and avoid spending too much. If you live where snowbirds arrive, try having a big yard sale when they are around. I made over $300 that way one year. Plus you cut down on stuff in your house. There are lots of other opportunities out there-- just go out and look. |

The phone company gets half and you get the other half. People are lonely out there and crave attention. No one wants to listen to them. This is your chance. Good glory... this is another reason why people should not trust jobs and corporate America.... it's amazing how all the lay offs are coming out now.... listen i'm gonna be honest with you... read this book called The Secrets! Start getting ideas on how to create your own business or franchise.... i donno if u have myspace but i do.... u can check out this video on there... it's something that i do on the side bcoz i can't trust jobs.... i remember working in one place that gave me 3 bounced checks back to back.... then i worked at another place and they only paid me for 2 days out of 14 days; but the only reason i ended up getting a pay check was bcoz i was getting on their case so they finally decided to give me that paycheck 3 months after my 14th day..... and hearing ur situtation is just another confirmation... get out man! get out! |
