Some great answers so far. I think the problem with them is that they are already identified opportunities that thousands if not millions of people are already aware of. So the background work is already being laid and many are ahead of you in those areas.
The area that I see as next generation that few people are working on is the education market. Private schooling, business schooling, and other arenas are going to heat up. A large reason why is that low skilled labor is going to move to 3rd world countries that stepping up into the industrial and information ages. Yes, some countries aren't even to the industrial age yet. As they move into those areas, many countries who are already in the information age are going to be outsourcing jobs to these low skilled and low paid employees. That means we have to step up and learn how to work and run higher level jobs.... Open more businesess, and many more things. And schools will need to revamp their agendas to prepare our new workforce and business force to be successful. |

If you've been following the news, you will notice that the largest amount of people in the US are known as "baby boomers." The generation itself has timed itself for various opportunities for these Americans that are now aging. I would think the time is right now for products and services that relate to the needs of older people: retirement options, wills and estates, senior housing, and leisure activities that people with more time and less money have. Why not conduct research of this generation of people to ask what their wants and needs are? The answers often include price complaints but can introduce you to new markets that would make existing products better or faster even if not cheaper. |

I think it is going to be health, weight loss for kids. I have a friend that tells me the rumor in his company is by next year, they will have the first healthy energy drink for children. He says that the market is wide open on that front. They are already in the lab and should be in production by next year. |
