What would you pay per hour for a good cleaner? (UK)?
Or waht do you pay per hour for a good cleaner, thanks?

Initially I paid my cleaner £10.50 per hour. I've given her a inflationary pay rise each year and am also reimbursing her petrol costs as we've moved house and she has to travel over 10 miles each way to get to us. She's now getting paid £14 per hour. I could probably save money by getting a cleaner closer to home - but when you find a good one you can trust, they're worth hanging on to!

It varies by region, but up to £10 per hour.

You can pay less for a poor cleaner, but it's worth the money to keep a good one.

monkey
im a private cleaner and i charge £6.00 for a hour have been doing it for ten years. if thats any good for you. companies charge about £7.50 - £8.00

MANC & PROUD

It's about £6.50/hour in the Glasgow area, if you can find one.

i would pay 7.50 an hour

sixmilliondollarguy
£6.00 per hour, no more, no less. And they have to be British instead of a foreigner.

I varies her the the US, private housekeepers if they are worth their salt can make 10 to 15 per hour. Other thought may star at 7.5o to 8.00 and work their way up.

Phish
National Minimum Wage for over 21s. £5.05 an hour I believe, although I am open to correction on this.

shonamcl_kingswood
Minimum wage goes upto £5.35 in October but i think it depends on how much cleaning you are expecting them to do and also how often. When you interview the applicants give them an offer and see if they are happy with it

I would pay around £8 per hour if I hired a cleaner. This is more than average but the benefits to myself would be
a) attracting a higher calibre of cleaner (an inexperienced applicant wouldn't bother applying because they'd assume I'm looking for someone good).
b) keeping the same cleaner for longer (they'd be less likely to switch employers and would feel valued)
c) guilt-free hiring (that's the amount I'd want to be paid if I were cleaning, especially because it's only a few hours a week, it's got to be worth their effort to get to your house)

Good fortune finding a great cleaner!

I'll pay 10 pounds per hour for someone to clean my apartment. Not sure on the going rate but if you are good I'll pay that much.
