As a mother you are guaranteed 18 years of work. In the beginning you will be working 24 hour shifts 7 days a week. Depending on the situation, you may or may not receive breaks. The stress and worry of this job will continue for the whole 18 years, although, after the first year it becomes a little easier as you adjust to the situation.
However, if you thought that the first year was tough, just wait until the 13-18 years. At approximately age 13 (maybe earlier, maybe later) the child will become increasingly rebellious, angry, smart mouthy and just a bad attitude in general. This time period is different for everyone. If your lucky your child will never enter this stage, or only for a short time. With some kids...it never goes away.
In general the job calls for sleepless nights, dealing with fevers, throwing up (sometimes on you), bake sales, planning birthday parties, cleaning up, cooking, being a taxi service, etc, etc...and all for the same amount of pay the entire 18 years of service: the privilege of raising a child.
The legal contract of this job is 18 years. The child will think he/she doesn't need you anymore around age 14 or 15. Your legal obligation will end at age 18, but you still will feel connected till the day you die.
Oh, did you want actual pay? Try stuffing envelopes.

Best is really subjective. In researching hundreds of home business opportunities prior to leaving the workforce, I found very few that did not make me very nervous. The few people (3% or so) who make money, make it off of those who sign up and fail or from "get started for $ fees". Look for programs where the profit is not based on people just joining. I finally went with a company that was totally free and changing the world with no hype and no gimmicks. I get to make money while supporting a charitable organization. Very Very Hard question to answer the best way is to find a product or company you are interested in and then spend as much time as you can researching into there market and how successful the business is i.e are they new or 10 years old, are they 1 man or do they have 50 people + a call center you can ring, i spent months looking into various online business, if your interested in the skill gaming business then have a look at my link below if not then i recommend in depth research before you commit any money to anything
