i depends on what you mean by a regular scale: a human scale would probably not work, becouse of it's ACCURACY, AND AS FAR AS I know most human scales do not measure in ounces, which is what i found most postal servaces use. also the scale (any scale) that you use should be checked out by the postal service themselves to assure accuracy, down to the poin: go to a postal office. it's what i do when selling things on ebay. |

ebay really sucks, i use to use ebay, and i lost more money than i made. go craiglist! CRAIGLIST! it's free and you get to deal with local people!
i post stuff up in the morning, and by the evening time , it's sold and the customer has the stuff in their home! |

I've tried this before and it always seemed to work. Also add an extra couple of quid to the person just incase it's not the right weight. Also Food scales help. |

Yes it is the same. It goes by weight and the weight measuerements are consistent no matter what type of scale you use. A postal scale may be more finely calibrated so it may be more accurate than a standard household scale. |

It's probably close, but its best to take it to your local post office and have them weigh it so you get the correct postage and your package arrives to your customer on time. This prevents the customer from getting angry because they don't get their package on time. Good luck! |

It is if you're sure your home scale is calibrated accurately. Most bathroom scales are *not*. They can vary by as much as four or five pounds in either direction. It's generally advisable to bring your package to the post office and let them tell you for sure exactly what the postage will be.

Yes. You will use the 'real' weight. The post office may be a**holes, lol, but they don't have a different weight that they use to make you pay more. |
