if it's in ok condition then you could do a car boot - that way you can get rid of it in one go, anything left you could just give to charity.
you could sell it through admag, or your local free paper etc, or of course there's ebay!
PS, if you do a car boot or sell your stuff through classified ads etc then you will NOT have to declare it for tax purposes - see example 2 in this information from HM revenue & customs http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/guidance/selling/examples.htm#b |

Good for you. You will probably have a fair amount of money hidden in that stuff.
Your best market is at ebay. They will allow you to sell your stuff for a small fee. But there are other auctions available too. Just do a search for auctions at your yahoo.com website and you should find a few good sources. Evaluate a few of them and choose the best one.
Do clean up your stuff a little, because you will get a better price for cleaner stuff.
