Where can I find credible work from home web sites and info?
I would like to do this full-time.

You are probably receiving a lot of information about possible work from home jobs. I have been in your shoes and have spent many hours online researching and trying to find the right one. The one thing that I ended up figuring out is that there are no true work from home "jobs." In a work from home job you usually start out working for a company and then for whatever reason, sometimes, the company will let you take your job home; thus work from home job.

However, there are many work from home “opportunities.” These opportunities provide you with the vehicle to work from home and build your own business. The difficult or frustrating part about finding the right opportunity is that there are many offers that are not legitimate, but scams. Theses scams make it difficult for the companies that truly offer a legitimate opportunity to work from home. Usually, work from home opportunities have a small investment to start your own business. These are okay as long as they are around $100, anything much more than that and I would stay away. Also if they require a monthly overhead to run the business it should include things like your websites, training, back office system, and support. Remember any business that you start and want to continue (whether it’s retail, restaurant, or home-based) will always have start up costs and monthly expenses.

I am a stay at home mother of 2 (ages 4 and 2). My husband works 6 days a week and I do not have much help in the area of child care for my children. On my journey to finding the right work from home opportunity I tried everything from selling vitamins, lotions and many other product based companies. I also looked into processing information online. What I realized with all these companies is that I usually put more money back into my business and ended up with lots of product I really did not need. I also was very skeptical of some of those online work from home websites that really never got to the point of what I would be doing to earn income.

Finally, I was given information on a legitimate work from home company. At first I was very skeptical and paid no attention to the information. Then one day my mother needed to have some dental work done but had no insurance. I remembered that I had some information on discount dental plans. Once I researched the information I had been given, I realized that I could provide my mother with a way to pay less for her procedure and earn an income for signing her onto the discount dental plan. I have been with the company since and am on the fast track toward building a residual income.

I work 15 hours a week (give or take a few) for a National Discount Medical Benefits Company. The company has been in business for over 16 years and is continuing to expand! We have been featured on "60 minutes", "The New York Times", "Wall Street Journal", "Time Magazine", and "American Medical Review" as one of the most reputable, legitimate home based companies. We are members of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Dental Plans and the owner of the company sits on the board of The Consumer Health Alliance, which we are also a part of their membership.

Our company addresses the number one problem in US, which is that 70% of Americans can't afford or can't get health insurance for whatever reason. We are an alternative for people who are suffering with their health because of this issue. Now to work for our company you don't have to know everything there is to know about Health Care. Our company will train you on how to communicate our services to those who need it. We have over 2 million members that use our plans and save money on their health care.

When you work for the company you are able to set your own hours and build a residual income while you work. Because we get paid month after month, year after year for the work we do our income is always increasing and we get paid even when we don’t work. The company also does not enforce a monthly quota, which was important to me. I wanted to have the flexibility to work when I wanted and how much I wanted. Of course the more you put into your business the more income you will receive.

Some of the benefits we offer are 401k, direct deposit, life insurance and a family benefit package for your entire household. The next best thing is there is no cold calling, telemarketing, stocking of inventory, collecting of payments, and no home parties! This was very important to me as I had the child care issue to deal with and wanted to be able to stay home and work without having to leave my house.

Another great thing about our company is that we all work together to as a team. We are not out to compete with our fellow representatives. Whenever I need advice my team is there to help me to be a success. This was also very important as I was new to the business and wanted the team support you get working a 9-5 job without having to work the 9-5 job. I have also made many friends along the way and still have the interaction with adults while taking care of my children at home.

I guess I could go on and on about what we do and how we get paid, but the best thing for you to do is research the company for yourself and determine if it is right for you.

You may find some, but most of those things that advertise work at home require you to invest something, and you will usually loose your money. I am sure there is at least one credible place out there and I hope you find it. But I sure haven't.

Your not going to find very many work at home "jobs" out their. The ones that are available only pay minimum wage. Not enough income to support someone. Surveys are not what they are cracked up to be either. You need to understand how the survey's work before getting involved. I've had a lot of experiences with various different survey companies. Here's how they work. Each survey you have to take a pre-qualifying survey that takes 5 to 20 minutes to complete. (this you don't get paid for) Majority of the times after you've completed this, you don't qualify for it for some reason. Then there is a lot of times when you do qualify for the survey's you complete those surveys which take 15 to 45 minutes to complete. After completeing this (your time is now approx. an hour that you've spend) your told that you didn't qualify or the survey for your area, age or ethnic race is filled up. So now you wasted an hour of your time for nothing. Your opinion isn't heard because these situations do not get recorded when they've reached their capacity. Most survey's that you do get credit for, you don't make the amount they say. You make between $1 to $5 and sometimes $8 per survey that takes almost an hour of your time. Minimum wage. The ones you pay for $39 to $59 to register for their sites, they do the same thing. Your paying for offerings of survey's to do, but understand you have to qualify for these survey's and the same procedure is practiced. So many different things go on that people are unaware of. Don't get me wrong, if you want to do the survey's for the principle of the matter, then do them. The ones you do complete, your opinion of whatever product and or services that the survey is about does get recorded and is used in marketing structures.
In order to make it for an average of minimum wage, you'll need to sign on to a lot of different survey sites. I do mean a lot. A friend of mine did this just to see if it was a scam, or if you could really make the amount of money they proclaimed. I signed on to over 20 different ones and she did the same with different ones. That was over 40 different sites including these paid ones. In six months time frame of working it, and doing what they said to do I made $100 and had quite a few free items. Thank God didn't need the income or I'd be homeless doing this.
Ocasionally you do get a survey that pays like they said, but what is all involved and if you calculate the time it takes in doing it, it comes out to again, minimum wage. It's not consistant either. Like I said, your average is minimum wage.
If you really want to work from home and make a sufficient amount of income, and are willing to put this amount of effort into making money, I suggest you start your own home based business. This would be your best bet. Having a home based business, you'd be better off. You need to find something that you believe in and sale a product that everyone needs and is in high demand. The income opportunity is incredible. Most home based business cost under $500. Some cost more depending on what it is you want to do. I don't know what you like to do, so I can only tell you what my husband and I started over six years ago and point you out to some others to take a look at. Ours well supports our family of six. We have four children ages 10, 6, 3 and 1.
We got involved in the telecommunications industry with a world wide company that's over 15 years old. We've been featured in several magazines Inc 500 rated us the 22nd fastest growing company. They offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway, but now they can have a lower cost. Services such as local and long distance phones, Internet, digital phones, video phones (you can see the person your taking to live)VOIP, Satellite TV, and all the major cellular phone companies like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltell, Nextell etc. have partnered up with them too.
How many people do you know, or know of, that uses one or more of these services? How would you feel if you could save people money on services that they're already using, or offer them services that they don't have but want? Every time they pay their bills each month, you make a percentage off these bills every single month. Huge income opportunity. It's incredible how much money is involved in this industry.
If you'd like more information feel free to email me and I'll be happy to pass it along to you.

I also created a blog on my 360 page on home based business's. There's over half a dozen different ones to take a look at. Your more then welcome to browse through them. If you find one that's interesting, contact the person who wrote it and they can point you out in the right direction.

Hey Fawn,

Are you looking for a work at home job or do you want to work for yourself? If the latter, then you will have to have some money for start-up costs (Like any business venture) Depending on which business you choose, this could range from $50 - $2,000

I spent 8 months looking for a home business before I found what I was looking for.

Check out my YouTube video if you are interested http://youtube.com/watch?v=i5ZMgycKRPQ

I work from home as a designer with Latasia jewelry and love it! The company has been in business for over 15 years and is a member of the DSA. The job is fun, easy and the money is great. I'm not sure what kind of interests you have but it may be an option for you to consider. I'd be happy to send you some info if you'd like and can help you get started for free. I don't want to to break any of the yahoo rules, so if you're intereseted in hearing more, my contact info is on my profile.
Good luck!

Would you like to own a home based business? If so, of course there are upfront cost. Who would expect Mcdonalds or subway to just give them a restuarant? You have to invest some of your own money. Anyhow, I know of a great home based business opportunity. Infomercial calls are routed straight to your home. There are some low upfront fees but there is huge potential with this business:

Find people who are already doing business from home and are successful at it. Not the ones who spam you online with bells and whistles.
There are legit ones out there but do NOT get tricked by advertising.

would you be interested in writing?

You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free. Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising. I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

I've given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.

Any questions please leave a comment on this blog.

http://your-first-blog.blogspot.com/

I've also found some useful information on this blog which I found today, it helps you to earn small amounts of money from data entry, surveys, receiving telephone calls, reading adverts in emails and online selling.

So here's the thing.....these businesses are not ligit. Almost all of them will require you to put some sort of "financial investment down payment fee", and this is a load of crap! Any ligit business WILL NOT require money before hand, if they do it's bogus. If in fact you do get paid a measly salary, it will be pittance to the amount of work you will have to do.

An example:
You get paid $300/week for assembling 2000 or more product. So basically you are assembling one item every minute, 8 hours a day, with no breaks. Normally you will have a minimum amount for a low pay, minus what you pay for the product, and cost of shipping both ways.

These business are not made for YOU to make money, they are made for one reason and one reason only: to rip off the one doing all the work!

You would be better off running your own business from home.

nowhere. Believe me I've searched for years and have yet to find a legitimate business that doesn't require money up front (a sure sign the business is NOT legitimate)
