Which direct sales company is best?
I have tried Pampered Chef, but I am not great at getting people at parties to commit to doing their own parties - A crucial element in any home party type business. I have recently been thinking about trying Avon or Mary Kay or any others where you don't have to have parties to sell. Just wondering if anyone out there has tried any of these and can give me some advice. thanks

I am a Pampered Chef consultant and I have tried selling Tastefully Simple before. Tastefully Simple did not work for me because I was not passionate about what I was selling. Then I went to a Pampered chef party and I really liked the stuff and I decided to sell it. I am very passionate about it. If you are not Passionate about the product you are selling you will not get very far. My advice for you is to really think of what you really love. Do you love Kitchenware, or Home decorating, or make up or even candles. If you answer yes to one of them then I would choose that one and start to sell it.

Now if you really Like selling Pampered Chef then I would really stay with it. We all get into a Rut. I am just recently getting out of my Rut and the way I did this is by our monthly meeting we decided to do a Booking Blitz. We ended up Calling our contacts that we had or people that we have been meaning to call for a while and ask them to book a party. What really helped it more was we made it into a contest and the first two people who got the most bookings in our cluster got prizes. So when I made my phone calls I would start by saying Hi this is ____ with Pampered chef. We are doing a contest to see how many bookings we can get and if I win I will get a prize. Would you be interested in having a Party? You would be surprised at how many people said yes. I was so shocked. I got so many bookings more then I ever had. If you still go to the meetings I would suggest doing that and you will see your business really grow. Now if you are not into Pampered chef anymore then I would look at your interest and pick a home business that you know you will be passionate about.

I would have emailed you all of this but you don't have your email available. You can email me if you would like I do know a little bit about the other home businesses.

Check with your Pampered Chef upline about the difficulties you are having with getting people to commit to booking. It may be something you're doing-or not doing or it may just be the people that you are dealing with really aren't serious about hosting a party. As far as other business....I have a business with a health and wellness company. They have skin care/nutrition, color, cosmetics, weightloss and aromatherapy. People love the products because they see a difference in their skin in just a few days. We're not supposed to promote our business in the community so if you are interested in the name of the company or further information let me know.

I joined Home Interiors 2 years ago . Although home parties can be 1 aspect of it, I sell candles and other merchandise
from my web page and I have customers who do book shows.
Home Interiors 's commission is 45% of what you sell. We also have a fundraiser line that pays 50% to the organization after taxes and shipping. If you joined now you would receive
$500.00 od any merchadise in the catalog for $99.00. This includes training and business supplies. There are many ways to work our business. I use candles to make baskets for every holiday. Christmas I used Home Interiors products to make beautiful Christmas wreaths. I do home show that areonly candles and fragranced items. We have beutiful pictures and assesories including mirrors and childrens items. You will never grow tired of Home Interiors because it is always changing and growing. Please view my webpage at www.homeinteriors.com/reginadsmith for more information.
I hope this helps.

I would have to agree with a previous poster that it is important to find something that you LIKE to sell, it is VERY easy to sell something you believe in yourself!

I have been selling Latasia Jewelry and it is working really well for me! I, too, am not great at getting people to have parties -- but there is almost always one person at the parties that i do get (through cousins, really close friends, etc, that are trying to help me out) that wants to book a party without me even pushing the issue!

More than that Latasia has the option of having a website (for $10 a month) and you can sell online! I also take catalogs with me EVERYWHERE and show the products to the nurses at my doctors office, dentist, send the catalog and get orders from people at my husbands workplace, moms workplace, etc.

The other thing that makes it REALLY easy to get people to host parties with Latasia is that Latasia provides an incredibly generous hostess plan -- hostesses usually earn around $200-300 in FREE jewelry at an average party! (And Latasia pays ALL of the cost of the free jewelry to hostesses, none of that comes out of the consultants pockets!!) There are other hostess bonuses too.

The jewelry is so nice that it really sells itself -- and there are pieces for every style and budget. There are pieces in the catalog that my mother (age 50) likes, my grandmother (age 80) likes, that I like (age 26) and there is even kids jewelry that my 10 year old cousin likes! Approximately 80% of the products are between $5-$60 so it is easy for everyone to find something the like and CAN AFFORD TO BUY!

Consultants (called "DESIGNERS" because you design your future with Latasia!) earn 40-50% commission and there are no monthly quotas to meet to remain active.

If you want to learn more you can contact me at hood.lindsay@gmail.com or visit my website http://www.mylatasia.com/lindsayhood

Good luck with whatever you decide!!

I have a lot of experience, but look for a business, that you think it is the best for you. That is different for everyone. I recently start with a new business (have already experience in others), and I do not have to do parties, but I can do it behind the computer. I can reach people all over the world, so sent me an email, and I ll give you all details, or go to my group information. I wish you a lot of succes with your choice, but please look for a direct sales that suits you, and then you will be happy with it and you will have the commitment that you needs to be succesfull. Greetings from annelise (annelise2000nl@yahoo.com)

I show Mary Kay products. I would say you should think about what products you love and are passionate about that is the only reason I went with Mary Kay I love the skin care and used it for years it was second nature for me to tell people about it. I love everything about it and the company. I never feel pressured to do anything I work at my pace determining my own success. I have heard it is hard to make a profit in Avon but that is only second hand from my Mary Kay director who was my Avon ladies prior to Mary Kay. she has been able to quit her job and has earned three cars in the 5 years she has been with Mary Kay. Please feel free to contact em with any specific questions.

I am horrible at the whole party thing as well....not for me. My friend who sells Mary Kay is really good at it. I NEVER thought I would be in direct sales myself, but a year ago I started drinking a product that helped me and I couldn't help but tell everyone I knew about it and to make a long story short.....I sell juice!!! My point is.......find something you love, and it will work because of your belief in the product you will be able to make it work. I also didn't want to have a ton of products to learn about.....with this only one product in different forms. EASY!!! I do love and have a ton of the pampered chef products but the party thing just wouldn't work for me. Best of Luck!!!

I have a home based business where all I have to do is show people how to save money on the services they use at home every day.
I do not have to sell anything, all I do is ask my friends and people I know if they would do me a huge favour and try my service, and then get a few others to do the same.
What is good about this business is my customers are using the service anyway and paying their bills every month, which gives a guaranteed income and I get a percentage of it.
If you would like to get more information send me an email.

An excellent source for finding a legitimate home-based business is to check out Direct Selling Association (DSA) at http://www.dsa.org. DSA is the national trade association of the leading firms that manufacture and distribute goods and services sold directly to consumers.

My advice is to go where the money is and that is travel. Travel is a $7.1 billion industry and growing every day. A Baby Boomer is retiring every 8 seconds and the first thing they want to do is travel. The average family in the United States spends $4,200 annually on travel. This is why my wife and I started our own online travel business. We’ve looked for years for a home based business and this is the first thing that made sense to us. The best part is that it sells itself. All you have to do is tell people about it. The industry commissions are already built in. You can also learn to save thousands on your taxes and travel wholesale instead of retail. The company that we work through is publicly traded, SEC regulated, has a $6,000 guarantee, and even offers health insurance. They even send their top agents on a cruise to the Bahamas. No one else does this. We love this business!
