Which is the best reliable and dependable domain name and hosting companies?

I am looking to start a business and is shopping for a domain name service and hosting as well and it is important that I deal with a reliable provider and not any fly-by-night service. Would any one happen to know any good ones? besides yahoo and godaddy.. even though I am thinking about going with either one of those two I just wanted to see if there are any others out there

I agree with the above. 1and1.com is the cheapest. Lunarpages comes with sooo much stuff. Bluehost and Dreamhost are popular but I have no experience with them.

Everything else, I've never heard of.

I've been really happy with 1&1 (www.1and1.com) - their domain name prices are some of the best (6.99 per year for a .com! - and you don't have to buy bulk to get that price) and their packages are extremely reasonably priced.

Hey how are you? I'm an internet marketer and I'd recommend www.namecheap.com because they are much cheaper than godaddy plus they offer the whois blocker which prevents people from finding out your personal information after you've put up a website. You don't want people knowing your real name, home address, or personal phone # after you've put up your site. The cost per domain is $9.29 (+) the Free "Whois" blocker which cost $20 (+) per month at other domain company's.
