USPS is good for small items especially media mail
UPS and FedEx are better for larger items as their price is lower.
In terms of reliability, I get fewer complaints of shipments not arriving or delayed or getting lost with UPS than FedEx |

FedEx, by far! A little more pricey at times, but highly efficient and reliable! Also on line tracking provides a better estimate of delivery that the UPS website! |

Speed of service and reliability definitely go to FedEx Express. They may tend to be a bit more in price, but it's really not that much more. Use UPS two day service and FedEx two or three day Air service. You'll pay about $2.00 more for the FedEx, but 90% of the time your package will be there the next day by 3 PM. |

There are other factors to consider in addition to price and speed. Such as ability to track a package, with UPS and Fedex you can every single shipment you make thru them regardless of the size or mode. Whereas with the USPS, you can only track the higher priced packages such as priority, etc. So, if tracking is important to you then don't use the USPS.
It is also a lot easier to file claims against UPS and Fedex for lost or damaged items, have ever tried filing a claim against the USPS....unless you use their priority services, you can't file any claims if something is lost or damaged.
As far as price is concerned, UPS and the USPS are definitely the cheapest for packages. |
